The Trojans are Coming to Liberty (For Football) and it is a Special Game This week is Home Coming for the 2012 Liberty Lions. The Castro Valley Trojans come to Liberty High. The Liberty Lions JV game begins at 4:30 pm tomorrow Friday September 14, 2012. While the JV is playing the parade will be wondering through downtown Brentwood. But don't let that stop you from coming to the game, because the parade winds up coming through the stadium right after the JV game and before the Varsity Game. My son tells me there are some great surprises for Home Coming. Get there early, enjoy the JV Game and have a prime seat for the parade. Go Lions!

Liberty Lions JV Falters Against Farmers – Hangs on to Win! 9-8-12 My son had been telling me all week the team seemed down and off. Maybe it was the short school week after Labor Day – although most the kids did show up for practice on Labor Day. Not sure what the issue was. Thursday the Freshman won 39-6. The Liberty Lions JV 2012 took the field last Friday and promptly drove down to the Farmers 5 and fumbled the ball away. There was no score in the first quarter the boys had me worried. Then they proceeded to score a couple times in the 2nd quarter and # 4 Dylan Caps ended the first half with a pick 6 (Interception and touchdown). In the 2nd half the officials did all the could to help the Farmers giving them 5 downs on one series. On a Liberty drive the lions failed to punch it in o...

Liberty Lions 2012 JV face Hayward Friday Sept. 7, 2012 The Liberty Lions JV 2012 faces the Hayward Farmers at 4 pm Friday. This is a little earlier than normal so be sure to leave with plenty of time for this road trip. Hayward High is at 1633 East Street in Hayward. So far we are 2-0. I don't want to be over confident. But one thing I notice about our JV Lions is how well conditioned they are and their dedication. With the Monday Holiday it was a Short Week at School but most of our Lions were out practicing on Monday. We got back from camping late. My son had slept two nights on the ground, hiked 10 miles at about 9000 feet. We got home and he told me to take him right to practice. See you Friday.

Liberty Lions 2012 JV Football Team contributes to sweep over the Wolfpack. The 2012 Liberty Lions had a great set of games on 8-31-12 against the Merrill West Wolfpack. It started off on Thursday 8-30-12 with the Freshman winning 27-16. The 2012 JV Lions then kicked off Friday evening. The game started a little slow and I thought it might be close. But the great conditioning of our JV Lions paid off as they ground the Wolfpack down. Alex Hull # 12 had 4 touchdowns in a 41-7 victory. Here is an interview with Kyle Jordan, one of our great linemen. The sweep was capped off with a 34-10 Varsity win. Keep reading for more updates on our 2012 Liberty Lions.

Liberty Lions JV Kick Off to a Great 2012 Season Against Livermore! Last Friday August 24th the JV Liberty Lions traveled to Livermore to open against the cowboys. There was a little bad blood as the Cowboys beat most of these young men when they were Freshman last year on a disputed call for one of only 2 losses. This years Freshman had won the night before 35-6 so the JV felt they had something to prove – and they did. One 3 turn overs the JV Liberty Lions won 33-0. The Livermore Cowboys only crossed the 50 yard line twice and only had one really close drive; but turned the ball over on downs at the 5 yard line. I am still getting to know the kids. They have some work to do, but this was off to a good start. Lions had a few dropped passes and had trouble against the outside run. They ...

Liberty High School Brentwood JV 2012 Opening Game Tomorrow is a great Day, our Liberty Lions open the 2012 Season. The JV look like a really exciting team. Most of the kids on it are coming off a 8-2 Freshman year and there is a lot of promise here for the Varsity in years to come. Here are some of our Players (in both white and red uniforms) at last weeks scrimmage. Well tomorrow they Open the 2012 Liberty High School Football Season at Livermore High School in Livermore at 4:30 pm. I will be packing up and heading out of here about 3:30 so as not to miss any action. My son Nelson will be starting at left guard and playing some on the D Line. What Does Client Service Mean at Home Point Real Estate? The bulk of my business is Home Buyers, although I work with people Selling a Home too in Brentwood, Oakley, Discovery Bay, Antioch, and Pittsburg. I do lots of things for Home Buyers, primarily I give them my time. The key issue is what do I do with the time I give them. I can hand Home Buyers stacks of paper work and booklets on Buying a Home; but they really need to talk to someone. One of our Business Principals at Home Point Real Estate is High Tech Real Estate with Personal Service. Now I don't like to waste my time so when I am giving time to my client it is about building trust and educating as much as it is about buying a home. The other day I sat with a client in the office of a New Home Builder signing a contract to pur...

Buying a Brentwood Home with a VA Loan August 2012 A client thinking about Buying a Home in Brentwood with a VA Loan sent me a sad e-mail the other day. She has decided to wait a few months because the market is so tight right now and she is not sure she can get a home with no money down, even though she has excellent credit and a large loan amount. Click Here to Search Homes Now! Well I wrote her back and explained why this was a great time to Buy with VA in Brentwood Ca. Yes the market has been very competitive and low down payment buyers have been frozen out by low appraisals. (How are Low Appraisals hurting First Time Buyers?) However, there is some good news for buyers like her: The high offers and purchase prices we have seen will increase what other homes are appraising for and w...

What is my Home Worth? Should I Call a Witch Doctor? Do you want to know What Your Home is Worth in East Contra Costa County communities of Pittsburg, Brentwood, Antioch, Oakley, Discovery Bay or others? Well would you call out a Witch Doctor to help you Figure Out the Value of Your Home? I can see it now the Witch Doctor is well known and a respected leader in the community. They look spectacular and project a presence as they come into the room. Then the Witch Doctor starts dancing around the room, waving their hands and calling out. Then he stops – Shakes a Bag and drops the contents out onto the table. A small pile of bones lands on the table. The Witch Doctor looks at the pile of bones – Stands up and pronounces the value of the home. A hushed aw comes over all present; the pronoun...

Buying a Brentwood Home on a Fixed Income I got a note today from someone wanting to Buy a Home on a Fixed Income. I don't think this is an unusual request and it may be a very smart time to Buy a Home and secure fixed payment amounts every month. Click Here to see Homes in East Contra Costa County under $200,000.00! Here is the note: We are two people both on SSI. We are paying approx. 50% of our income on housing and it it not really a quality of life solution. It occurs to me that we might improve our situation by buying a small place or a fixer upper. I've been investigating all first time buyer programs as we both are first time and really know nothing about real estate. There is a lot of missing information I would need to start giving them direction. But in general if you are pay...

Why many people look for Homes in Brentwood? Today I had a client cancel an appointment to shop for homes in Summerset with me today; one of your fine Adult Living Communities. Their son is moving to San Jose and told them they need to live closer to him. San Jose is about an hour away, maybe less with light traffic. See Fantastic Brentwood Homes for Sale here! They have not given up completely and told me they were going to come and drive around town, but would not be looking at homes. Of course I am sad about this, but I have this happen a lot and then find the people calling me back to look. Why? Well here is the note I sent them: I hope you had a great time looking around Brentwood today. If you would like me to send you homes from other areas let me know. I do want to offer you a c...

2012 Brentwood Ca Corn is coming in I was driving out in the Farm Belt of East Contra Costa County today; in the Brentwood area and I saw something exciting – Corn was being harvested. Find out about Living in Brentwood Here. Brentwood has some of the best corn in the world. When it comes in it will be picked and put on ice; then shipped to supermarkets all over the country where you can get it fresh the next day. Of course if you live in Brentwood you can get it that day. The corn in Brentwood is very sweet. Many boil it, but if you want something great toss it on the grill. I know some that swear you should soak it over night in salt water. It is great to watch the corn grow and it grows fast. I drive by the fields everyday and watch it grow up in what seems like over night. As I driv...

Pool Homes in Brentwood Brentwood Ca is a great place to own a Pool Home. The weather is nice enough that you can use if most of the year and many of these pools have Hot Tubs so you can even take a good hot soak in the midst of the coldest day of winter. See Brentwood Pool Homes here. Some of these Pool Homes are Single Family Homes for Sale in Brentwood. Others are Homes with an HOA and Homes with a Community Pool. The great thing about Buying a Home with a Pool of its own is you will have privacy and ease of access. There is more control over how and when you use the pool. But Buying a Home with a Community Pool also has advantages in that you can share expenses and not need to take personal responsibility for the up keep. Another thing I have found about Buying a Pool Home is that s...

Vacation Bible School in Brentwood 2012 Vacation Bible School is great event put on by Churches all across the country every year. If you have never heard of Vacation Bible School or participated you are missing out. My kids love Vacation Bible School and go every summer. See Vacation Bible Schools in Brentwood Ca in 2012 here! Vacation Bible Schools have different themes offering kids different and exciting adventures, fun, and a chance to learn about Jesus. Each Church does it a little different – generally they are run by volunteers. Some are full day and some are half day. Most are very inexpensive and some are even free. Generally any charges is just to cover materials and cost. I suspect if you cannot afford the minimal cost many churches will have scholarship plans. Generally a V...
