Although the number of homes for sale in Brea, California has increased, less than 4 dozen houses and condos are available for prospective buyers, leaving many with little to no options. This is especially true for first time home buyers, as there are still only 10 homes for sale in Brea, in the entry level price range of $500,000 and below. Year over year, listings have fallen by more than 42%, with the bulk of that decrease in the short sale category, which has dropped 85.7% since May of last year. Brea's housing inventory appears to be at an all time low when it comes to the number of single family homes for sale any given day during the month of August! When it comes to Brea real estate and homes for sale as a long-time local REALTOR and Broker myself, I've been watching the inventory come and go now for decades in the City of Brea. Almost any day this month when I've checked the ACTIVE listings (as identified in our Multiple Listing Service) it's been anywhere from only 38 to 37 single family (detached) homes for sale in the entire city. Then checking today the inventory is down to only 30 (again single family detached homes) for sale!
