84 Charing Cross Road: The book, the play, the movie or the bookstore? Well some of you might remember there was a book that came out in the 1970’s called 84 Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff. Later it was made into a Play and then around 1987 Ann Bancroft and Anthony Hopkins made a movie about it. The story is about a relationship that lasts about 20+ years through correspondence between the book seller Anthony Hopkins and the book buyer Ann Bancroft it is a very moving story where the two develop a friendship. If you have not seen it I would recommend it,  if you are a fan of Anthony Hopkins of Dr Lechter of the Silence of the Lambs fameJ.
