It's not a big job, but during the summer months in the Sacramento area we install a lot of new units. The old air conditioners eventually get old and stops working. Putting the new unit in may require more than pulling the old one out and sticking the new unit in. New air conditioning unit are more efficient than those from years ago, and are often smaller in size. If this is the case the framing, and trim needs to be adjusted to fit the new unit.
