I took a half day off this last weekend to ride my motorcycle one last time before the rainy season arrives. As I usually work most days I thought I could perform an Alamo home search for a client while enjoying my ride. Boy was it hard to stop and view those open Alamo homes! The weather was just perfect, the leaves had turned to their fall colors, green grass sprouting in the orchards, the world was a beautiful place. Everyone was enjoying the last days of fall.Seeing all those open home signs gave me a feeling of sorrow for those real estate agents working their Alamo open homes. Alamo Incorporated? A group of residents in Alamo dissatisfied with the county have formed a group to expore incorporating Alamo.  The committee will host a public meeting May 30 to unveil their proposal and ask Alamo residents for their input.  The meeting will be at Creekside Community Church, 1350 Danville Blvd., Alamo, 7:00 pm on May 30th.There should be some interesting debates within the community in the upcoming months.  Can Alamo (the citizens of Alamo) pay for all the services they will need?  Alamo does have high property values and a high sales tax base (from downtown based businesses to home based businesses) but will this be enough to support the infrastructure?  I don't know.  I look foreward to hearing what this committee has to say.

Alamo is an unincorporated city in the San Ramon Valley area.  Up to date statistics on alamo are difficult to get due to it's unincorporated status.  Alamo is considered one of the "Prestigious communities" located at the foot of Mt. Diablo.  It is home to many up and coming executives.  Even though Alamo is governed from Martinez by the County Board of Supervisors, they still maintain local control through their own improvements association.
