Killing Them Softly....Roberta Flack Did It Better! Roberta Flack sang the song "Killing Me Softly" in 1973.  Her song was much better than the recent release of "Killing THEM Softly" directed by and staring Brad Pitt. Yes, it's dark and yes, it is violent and yes, it tries to share a message about the current economy in America.  Even the trailer has no hook to catch the audience to watch this #epicfail for an attempted social message from Director/Writer Andrew Dominik. 007 scores 000 for the recent movie "Skyfall." The hype from the Olympics with Daniel Craig, 007 aka James Bond and the Queen was the only memorable aspect of this 007 #FAIL. The special effects at the beginning were interesting but didn't quite tie in with any message.  The film shows an aging 007 using alcohol and pills to push through the pain of his former war wounds.  Judi Dench his former handler, M, puts in her last appearance in this role and should be thankful it is over. Thanks to Gene Mundt for coming up with the Raining Recipe idea for activerain.   Sweet'N Salty Snack One pretzel, one Rolo chocolate carmel, heat 2 minutes on 350 degrees, add half a pecan.... EASY!                 Try this fun way to have a quick Sweet 'N Salty treat that Cosmic kids of all ages can create and tastes great!  Ingredients Pecan halves Small pretzels Rolo chocolate camels Place one pretzel on an oven proof pan and top with one rolo carmel.  Bake at 350 for 2 minutes to soften Rolo, then gently place the 1/2 pecan piece on top of the camel and press down.  Cool and serve!                                   11/15/2012

Filight -  did the trailer misrepresent the movie? No spoiler alerts here so feel free to read on. My husband and I walked out of the movie thinking it was an Academy award winning film.  "Epic" in terms of sharing the inside struggles of alcohol and drug abuse victims.   A powerful movie with 21st century "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" scenes. Yes, I used the term victim, because people who deal with alcoholism have a disease.  The disease can be treated and if left unchecked it will be fatal.  The worst thing about alcoholism and drug addiction is that not only can the person with the disease kill themselves, they can also take the lives of innocent victims.
