Road Trip to the Arizona Chiricahuas! The Chiricahua National Monument is about 36 miles southeast of Willcoz, AZ.  From Houghton Road in South Tucson, the trip took about 2 hours.  It’s a scenic drive through Texas Canyon and northern parts of the Dragoons, as well as grasslands, wine-land, and rolling hills filled with cattle and horses.   In studying the area information, Geologists say there was a huge volcanic eruption 27 million years ago.
