Downtown Tucson is growing and growing ... and it's awesome!! A lot of the development has been on our 'side' of downtown from Congress and 6th east. West has been a little slow but it's definitely coming along. Our newest neighbor is About Me Hair Studio on the corner of Broadway and Stone, on the ground floor of the newest condos - 1 East Broadway. I'd heard about their soft open but it didn't stick in my brain (which is usual) until I saw the write up that Downtown Tucson.org did and, since a haircut was absolutely necessary before heading to New Orleans and NAR next week, I figured I'd give them a try. If you look at my picture at the top, you can tell that I have what I lovingly call "Wild n Wooly" hair so finding a stylist that can take that on has been a little bit of a challeng...

Yesterday, I co-hosted a class on Downtown Growth Trends (poolside at a condo complex I have the exclusive on).  Tucson's Downtown is undergoing a huge surge of interest due to the new streetcar connecting it with the University of Arizona - between public & private investment, upwards of $900 Million has been spent in the past 3 years, rivitalizing & invigorating the area.   For part of the class, I presented research compiled over the past 3 years, comparing the trends in residential real estate with other areas & the Tucson Metro itself to illustrate the growth, not only in interest, but in property values. A couple of agents came up to me afterwards to thank me for sharing the info - and saying something that made me think of Scooby Doo & his "HUH?" sound: "I don't have time for res...

I am a huge - HUGE - supporter of our local businesses here in Tucson. Today - local saved me from a literal headache. So, there I was, in my downtown office, getting ready to start working on the offer paperwork for my first time homebuyers. I had some gunk on my glasses so I took them off and cleaned them up. The next thing I know, they're in two pieces. The nose bridge thingy (I'm sure there's an official name for it) snapped off from one side of the frame. Now, my eyesight isn't horrific but it's uneven with my right eye being worse than my left. Yes - panic set in.  I tried typing with one side on - no dice. I pulled out my clip on sunglasses and it kind of worked but the glasses kept slipping down/up/to the side. With no super glue around, I headed to the website of my favorite LO...

We, as an office, have more fun when we participate in Downtown Tucson's monthly street festival called 2nd Saturday. You can count on at least 15,000 of our neighbors coming down to stroll Congress Street to shop, eat and watch the great bands and performers. From our vantage point, and great store front, we knew early on that there weren't going to be too many people who wanted to talk real estate during a street party. Some do but most don't. So, instead of just sitting in our office watching the world go by, we started a tradition last summer - we open up our office to a local non-profit organization and let them 'take over'.  We've hung out with Honor Flight of Southern Arizona, The Hearth Foundation, Unscrewed Comedy troupe and myTeam Triumph of Southern Arizona -  That's our stor...

Ever since we opened our office on Congress Street in Downtown Tucson, there has been one thing in common with a lot of our walk ins - "Do you have any condos or flats for sale in downtown Tucson?" For over 6 months, our answer has been, "Sorry, no we don't." Well...guess what. We can finally say, "Why yes! Yes We Do!"   The Flats at Julian Drew condos is the FIRST ownership opportunity in downtown Tucson. It's the first of it's kind and we're excited to bring it to the Tucson market!Available are studios, starting at $105,000 and 1 bedroom units, starting at $145,000.  We have 2 models available for viewing NOW. The great thing about this property - aside from all of the updates to each unit - is the location. The complex is on 5th Avenue about a 1/2 block south of Broadway which means...
