Winter residents have returned to their summer homes and the rest of us brave souls are year rounders in Sun Lakes AZ.  So how was the winter selling season in 2013? My giggle for today was provided courtesy of a listing description in our local MLS.  The listing agent has shared the following information regarding a home for sale in Sun Lakes, AZ: "The home has a large laundry Toom and built in Dest.  Community has a nice Restruant." Showing instructions~ "Seller may or may not be home." Really? The only thing more frustrating than trying to find a home for sale in Sun Lakes AZ is trying to find a rental for 2014!  We sold several homes this year to buyers who were finding that they could not secure a lease in 2014.  Some said that landlords told them they had so many on a waiting list they would not even take their phone number.  There are however still some homes for rent in Sun Lakes.  Search here for all the rental listings and these listings in Sun Lakes are updated daily. We remember the term "bucket list" right?  From the movie with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.  Well on my bucket list since way back has been sky diving.  Some say "why would you jump out of a perfectly good airplane when you don't have to?"  Well, for me it is about the rush, the excitement, the "I can do this" daredevil side of me.  Sky diving was on my husband's bucket list to but when I asked him if he wanted to do this with me he said his bucket had tipped over and sky diving fell out."  So he was my partner on the ground, cheering me on and encouraging me when I was nervous as a cat on the day of the jump. It's no secret that buyer traffic is low in Active Adult communities in the Phoenix metro are during the Summer.  House hunting vacations are rarely planned for the months June - August when temps soar into the triple digits. This leads to one of the most frequest questions I receive from those considering selling their Sun Lakes, AZ homes.  "Should I list my home in the Summer?  Or, should I wait till Fall?" There are pros and cons to a summer listing. First the cons which most people know.  Buyer traffic is low, so a home could take longer to sell.   Great news! The IronOaks Fitness Center is now opening its doors at 5:30 am Monday through Friday. The earlier hours should help those who are still in the work force or those early birds who start their days at the crack of dawn. Also, membership dues are now prorated through the end of the membership year (September 30th). For instance, if you join in June, your dues would be $85 for an individual or $165 for a dual membership. Now that the temps are hitting those triple digits, our outdoor activities are limited, so it's a great time to check out our fitness center.
