A Show of Flags In Sedona On Flag DayThese flags are located at the Sedona Pines Resort, just outside of Sedona. Proudly DisplayingOle Glory in Sedona AZWe are so blessed to be able to watch our grandson Tristan overnight from Friday to Saturday. I try to do something fun with him, whether it is going to breakfast, playing "Go Fish," or enjoying the pool.  Well, today, it was a walk down the newly completed path on Soldiers Pass.  This home sits right off of Soldiers Pass, and I thought it would be fun to get Tristan in the pic!  He was afraid to get any closer to the house, so I opted to take the pic from this location. Many homes in our neighborhood display our flag with pride. What Is The Sedona Weather Like In Spring?Winter RecapThe dusting of snow above was captured on February 24th.  During the last 3 months, a scene like this has been uncommon. Sedona is known to get snow from time to time, but you better enjoy it while it is there because it doesn't last long.  This is why many of us appreciate it.  Sedona doesn't see "deep freeze" conditions. It makes you appreciate the beauty of the red rocks such as Coffeepot Rock and Thunder Mountain above.  The red rock goes crimson in contrast to the green pines, junipers, and snow. It's Mother Nature's way of putting on her make-up and letting you know how beautiful she is. Sedona HistoryI saw this image (above) and couldn't believe it.  I have seen a lot of historical images but this hit home. This was taken in 1968.  Where I live in Soldiers Pass won't be built for another 20 years - (1988).  I can't believe that none of the roads are paved.  This image was taken from Airport Mesa.
