- Prep & Pastry - A Tasty New Addition to Old Town Scottsdale -I had been eagerly awaiting the opening of Prep & Pastry after I had heard such great things about the original locations in Tucson. Recently, I finally got a chance to try out the Scottsdale location.Prep & Pastry is located right near the Waterfront and is across the street from Olive and Ivy. The design of the restaurant is airy, light and modern and welcoming. They offer three menus at Prep & Pastry - breakfast, lunch and brunch. There is some carryover between the various menus so you can feel free to order breakfast in the middle of the afternoon. :-)Since it was a sunny day, we elected to sit outside on the patio and people watch. Our friendly server came out promptly and got our drink and food orders. What I like about...

- The Breakfast Club in Scottsdale -Pretty much any time we drive by The Breakfast Club in Old Town Scottsdale, there are crowds outside excitedly awaiting a table. Last month, we drove by and while it was certainly busy, we were able to get a table right away. The Breakfast Club serves both breakfast and lunch until close, so you just need to decide which direction you want to go.The breakfast menu offers tons of options - from lighter fare to hearty, "carry you over to dinner" options. Besides solid offerings of favorite breakfast dishes, there is also a southwestern section with plenty of options as well as a Club Plate section that comes with a protein and three eggs, fruit and potatoes. The lunch menu has a large selection of sandwiches, salads and wraps plus tons of offerings for th...

- Scottsdale Dining - Diego Pops -We recently had lunch at Diego Pops in Old Town Scottsdale and enjoyed our casual, but tasty, meal immensely. The vibe I felt there was "happy." Perhaps it is the bright pink and font of the sign or the whimsical decor throughout, but immediately after walking in, I was in a better mood.We were able to get a table on the patio and the weather was perfect. Besides the indoor and patio seating, there is an indoor/outdoor bar area with plenty of screens that are perfect for catching various games being televised. The menu is Tex Mex with a modern twist.  You have botanas to start with, such as queso, wings and soup, as well as a selection of raw starters like ceviche and poke. From there, you can choose from a taco menu (a la carte or in a larger bowl format...

- Brunch at Cafe ZuZu at the Hotel Valley Ho -The Hotel Valley Ho has been an institution in Old Town Scottsdale for a long time. With its throwback vibe and tiki-modern design, it is worth a stay or visit.Cafe ZuZu is the main dining destination at Hotel Valley Ho. It is open for breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner as well as brunch. One of the best things is that a lot of the items served at Cafe ZuZu are locally sourced - such as McClendon's Farm and Hickmans. We were in the area the other weekend and decided to drop in for brunch. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Since things were pretty busy that morning, we opted for a booth in the main dining area.Right after we were seated, we were greeted with water service and a basket of warm petite scones and butter were...

We love Old Town Scottsdale, and we think you will, too! Home to some of the Southwest's top shopping and restaurants, there's so much more to this vibrant community.  Old Town Scottsdale is well known for it's nightlife scene, high end shops, mid rise luxury condos and glitz and glamour. But it is also a part of South Scottsdale, which is one of Arizona's best family communities!Homes in South Scottsdale are primarily mid-century single family homes. In the past 5 years, Old Town Scottsdale has been a top location for investors fixing and flipping homes.  It's also a great pride of ownership community, where homeowners are also doing the renovations to keep their homes up to date and staying put.  They are tied to the community and don't want to move elsewhere!  All of which keeps home...
