Great Article by AZ Central (concerning Cris Smith of Curaytor Real Estate).  When seller try to negotiate down the typical 6 per cent commission they pay Chris Smith, he said he likes to put down five $1 bills to illustrate where that money goes.  Three of the bills, he said, are taken off the table because they go to the home buyer's agent.  One bill is taken off because it goes to Smith's brokerage.  Another is taken off because it feeds his family.  He said the %1 bill ot on the table represents the 1 percent of the commission used to market his house, and he lets his clients decide if they want to spend it.
