Snake Season! Rio Verde, Tonto Verde, Arizona Just a short post for my friends and visitors to Rio Verde and Tonto Verde. Part of enjoying the Life Style in Fountain Hills, Rio Verde, Tonto Verde and the out lying desert communities comes with some cautions. Rattlers! Last night we sighted our first snake of the year. A young California King Snake was stretched out across our front door step. King Snakes are harmless and actually have been know to consume Rattle Snakes. He was probably hungry and came out during the heat of the day and was trying to stay warm by comforting himself next to the warmth of the house we have in Fountain Hills. So if your out hiking, cleaning up the yard or just walking the dog, use a little extra caution. I've even had Rusty snake trained and have a cute vid... 03/20/2010

The Bad Donkey in Carefree, AZ is a local treat with a great name...I heard on the news today that July 2009 was the hottest July on record in the Phoenix area, averaging 107.8 degrees during the day. Does this even remotely sound like weather than would encourage you to go home and prepare a huge meal?   I wanted to share Arizona State University 's, Dr. Jay Butler 's greater phoenix real estate market summary from January 07 to January 08. Granted, this info is a little dated. However, it is important to summarize the year over year drop; especially in relationship to the steep drop from January of this year to June 1st of this year which has all but matched the previous 12 months in percentage decline. In January of 2008, from January 2007 prices have declined in most areas of Phoenix and its surrounding towns/cities.
