People chatter about marketing to your intended customers base, but how often do they tell you how to identify such a group of people? A target market refers to a market segment at which your firm directs a marketing program. In essence people tend to be too broad in their definition of a “target market”. For example if the your company is to intrigue the large transportation market the first step is to identify the market segments (or subgroups) within the larger transportation market. Are you looking for air travelers or boat passengers or something else? If you are targeting customer to fill a cruise line then it is essential to aim for the transportation market that share similar wants, preferences and product use behaviors. Therefore you as the cruise ship marketing manager (or wha...

I was reading an article today by the Gadberry Group that was talking about 2008's boom towns and Queen Creek topped out the list, which was surprising to me.  I've been to Queen Creek many times over the last few months and would not have dreamed that it would be considered a boom town considering that it has taken such a beating.  But, they are going by growth since 2000 and it is really amazing how much Queen Creek has grown in eight years. The article states that in 2000 there were 4,011 households which grew to 28,439 households at the end of 2008, a 609% increase.  I found this interesting, if you would to read the entire article  and see what the other 7 cities are you can read it HERE!   You're Neighborhood Realtor© When looking to buy and or/sell, or know of anyone that is in th...

The Gadberry Group, a location intelligence firm, recently announced that Queen Creek, Arizona was the most notable high-growth area in the U.S. in 2008. Given the large amount of news about negative growth and market conditions, Gadberry's boom town list clearly illustrates that there are many places experiencing growth - and Queen Creek is a shining example. According to Larry Martin of the Gadberry Group, “Queen Creek’s consistent, sustained growth is amazing. When we ran the numbers we saw that the Queen Creek area added an unbelievable average of seven occupied households every day since January 1, 2000.” Martin went on to say, “Queen Creek has been a high profile growth area for years so we weren’t surprised to see it take the top spot this year.” The Queen Creek area continues to...

London's Run to benefit charities It was a cool, but clear and sunny day in Queen Creek yesterday and Schnepf's farm was the starting line for London's Run.  The race is named after London Solomon who was diagnosed with cancer in 2005 when she was 6.  She died later that year and the first London's run was held in January 2006 to benefit her family. Since that time the proceeds benefit cancer charities and Queen Creek cancer patients.  With such a short history, it was amazing to see the support and interest in the event.  With runners and spectators alike, my guess is that there were close to 1,000 people or more in attendance.  Participants could chose from the half marathon, 10K, or 2 mile fun run.    To pass the time while waiting for your favorite runner to return and cross the fin...

Great news for the Town of Queen Creek! It was awarded a grant from the Arizona Horse Lovers Foundation to create an equestrian trail along the bottom of the Queen Creek Wash from Hawes Road to Desert Mountain Park. The project includes a safe equestrian ramp from the trail node at Desert Mountain Park into the bottom of the wash. The grant is one of 12 the Foundation awarded in 2008. The equestrian trail is the critical link in the trails master plan in the Town's overall Parks, Trails and Open Space Master Plan and is part of a larger multi-use trails project on the top of the Queen Creek Wash from Hawes Road to Desert Mountain Park. Trails and paths are the number one recreational and leisure amenity desired by Queen Creek residents per the most recent Recreation Needs Assessment St...
