"Orange" You Glad I Planted Orange Trees? -- The Oranges are Ready! My father-in-law, who was a prolific gardener, always used to say "If you are going to water a tree it should give something back to you." That always brought a smile and probably influenced my decision to plant citrus trees in my yard.  That said, I happen to love trees of all sorts, especially big shade trees. But there is something to be said about eating some fresh fruit, from your own yard. Here we are in mid January and another beautiful day in Metro Phoenix Arizona.  It is nice and sunny and the expected high temperature is well into the 70s. The Market Report for Queen Creek December 2013 reveals a number of interesting statistics regarding the local real estate market. The Queen Creek area includes neighborhoods such as Cortina, Montelena, Sossaman Estates and Villages at Queen Creek. The local market insight tells us that the number of new listings in December 2013 was down by 21% from November 2013, from 119 new listings down to 94. The number of new contracts, was also down by 21.1% to 75, down from 95 in November. The number of closed sales rose by 8.9% from November, from 90 closings up to 98 closings in December.
