I live in Hidden Valley Ranch, a great neighborhood in the south part of Prescott, Arizona. This neighborhood was developed by infilling a heavily forested homestead adjoining the Prescott National Forest. The Ponderosa Pines and native Oak trees were left in place and still provide forest cover.Recently, a few of my neighbors and I have been watching a Buck Mule Deer that roams through our neighborhood. Yesterday, I managed to get his photo from my patio window.Notice that the deer also has a lot of wire at the base of his antlers. I fear for the safety of this buck. He will be severely handicapped whenever the bucks start to spar with each other. Another buck could also get tangled in the wire and bind them together.Does anyone have any ideas on how to rescue this beautiful Mule Deer?...

When I set up this neighborhood, I intended it to be a way for those in the neighborhoods to have a peaceful dialog and to assist in some communication such as garage sales, lost pets, meeting notices, recommendations, and other friendly topics. Last night I was driving home after a long day of showing vacant land near Seligman, Arizona. Agents not Taking you Seriously? Then Don't be Labeled a "Lookielou."I sometimes get asked by a stranger "I want to see the cabin in Potato Patch at 2885 Black Lode Trail" or I want to see the $50,000 220-acre lot in Seligman, AZ." These properties are QUITE remote. It may take me a full day to show some of my listings. I am not a tourguide.I may not take you seriously until I find that you are "doing your homework." Build Hidden Valley AZ nextdoor Neighborhood by Getting a Dog Park!Let's work to persuade the City of Prescott to make a dog park for our Hidden Valley Ranch neighborhood. As far as I know, the only public dog park in Prescott, Arizona is located near the intersection of Willow Creek Road at Commerce Dr. about 7.75 miles from Haisley and Highway 89. The route to get there runs through the center of Prescott. That dog park is around 2.25 acres. It would be great to have a dog park that is closer. It would also be great to have a place where I could take my dog, Beau, where he can be legally "off leash." The next step is to have a meeting to build a following of those who might support the project. Does this Getaway Mountain Cabin need an Interior Re-design? A few years ago, I helped the present owners purchase this cabin in the Mountains of the Prescott National Forest. On the table was an old Hudson Home Publishing plan book from 1978 with a picture of the cabin.  When I discussed this cabin with an Agent who showed the cabin several years ago, she said most of her prospective Buyers though it did not to be very "cabiny." All the woodwork in this home is hardwood. The home is spectacular on the inside. Does it need wood panelling on the walls? Does it need to be staged?

A friend sent this story to me today. I just had to share it Just Stay! A nurse took the tired, anxious serviceman to the bedside.    "Your son is here," she said to the old man.    She had to repeat the words several times before the patient's eyes opened.  Heavily sedated because of the pain of his heart attack, he dimly saw the young uniformed Marine standing outside the oxygen tent. He reached out his hand. The Marine wrapped his toughened fingers around the old man's limp ones, squeezing a message of love and encouragement.  The nurse brought a chair so that the Marine could sit beside the bed.
