The annual August Doin’s Rodeo Parade will march down Payson, Arizona’s Historic Old Main Street starting at 9 am. The the route will be east bound from Green Valley Park and end at Sawmill Theaters. Normally 20 degrees cooler and less than a tank of gas from the valley, the August Doin’s Parade is an event to remember, very exciting, and so Traditional.   Yes, we are going into Monsoon Season here in Arizona. There's an upside to it because of the rain to cool us off a little bit, but the downside is the damage it can cause, and even worse if there is what we call Dry Lightning before the Storm, that can cause Fires. In fact, I believe that was the leading cause of the Yarnhill Fire that grew so out of control, a horrible Tradgedy, that is the reason behind the weather that killed the 19 brave firefighters June 30th.   It was a very sad day, Sunday, June 30th, in Yarnell, Arizona when A Wildfire was sparked from Lightning Strikes. 19 of our Brave Heroes died battling this Fire, trapped in a Very Fast Moving Blaze that has now spread to 8400 Acres, engulfed in Towering Flames and Incredible Heat . These were highly trained specialists of Fighting Wildfires from the Granite Mountain Hotshots established in 2002. This Tradgedy makes my heart and soul cry out for the Family Members of these 19 Brave Heroes, and I pray for those that are currently battling this Fire right now, and today.
