Network Marketing is NOT Rocket Science. Succeeding in network marketing is a lot easier than most people think. It basically comes down to mind set. When you run your business it should be 90% mindset and 10% logistics. Unfortunately most people have this reversed and place most of their focus on the logistics, i.e. generating leads, calling back leads, making sure that their website looks just right, etc. Inevitably they end up frustrated, broke and then quit. It's important to the success of you network marketing business to get this right. Let's look at how this is done. Start with a decision or goal. This is the most important part of your success. Saul said, "Where there is not vision, the people perish." This is also true for your business. If you don't have a vision your busines...

By Justin McHood, I *used* to know stuff about mortgages.

Gilbert Arizona Mortgage Rates Today's Gilbert Mortgage News Today it was reported that the number of Americans filing first- time claims for unemployment benefits rose last week by 15,000 to a larger-than-forecast 478,000. This is up from a revised 463,000 the prior week. The number of people staying on benefit rolls is hovering at the highest level in five years. In addition to the wonderful news about jobs, the stock market was down yesterday and appears to be headed for more losses today.  We are seeing much lower Treasury yields: the 2-yr is down to 1.55% and the 10-yr is down to 3.58%. Do lower Treasury yields mean lower mortgage rates? Not today. In spite of having a government guarantee, and in spite of having tightened guidelines, mortgage prices are actually worse, or at best ...

For much of my early life I grew up on or near an Air Force Base. For the bulk of my father's career he was involved in the branch known as the Air Training Command. As one might suspect, such bases are home to more take-offs and landings than an ordinary runway. I remember my seventh grade teacher asking me, "How do you put up with the noise?" "What noise?" I replied. She countered, "the noise from all of the low flying airplanes?" I told her that there weren't many airplanes at this particular base. Then, in an instance, I felt like an idiot. Any one would know this to be not true. Over time I'd somehow managed to filter out the sound of rumbling aircraft. In a similar way, I've also managed to be blissfully ignorant of the smell of dairy farms. We tend to create blind spots. When we...

ActiveRain Real Estate Network Liberty Market The reopening of Liberty Market in downtown Gilbert's Historical District caused me to reminisce about the changes Gilbert has seen through the years and about the excitement the future holds for it's residents and visitors. First opened in 1935, Liberty Market served for many years as Gilbert's only grocery store. Now it will be a neighborhood market serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. While getting a facelift, the owners are intent on preserving much of its history. If you drive on Gilbert Road in downtown Gilbert, you may have noticed the construction work in progress south of the canal. This is for a park on the Western Powerline Trail that will serve visitors to downtown as well as bikers. walkers and joggers on the trail with relaxi...

The internet, blogging in particular, is good at many things. It can help you find the perfect school. It can help you find the right neighborhood for your family. Sometimes it even finds your friends. But once in awhile...it creates even a miracle. On August 16, 2008, a Mesa Arizona couple were in a plane crash and suffered massive 3rd degree burns. The story could end there, in sadness. It even gets sadder, the young couple has four sweet children. But the story doesn't end there. In fact that's where the story gets magical. Turns out this young mom, Stephanie Nielson, has much magic of her own. She blogged, but not just your run of the mill blabbering that so much of us do. She took magic and put it on the screen. She not only entertained you but thrilled you with inspiration. The cr...

Agritopia is a wonderful community here in Gilbert, Arizona.  If you're thinking of moving to the Phoenix area, be sure to put this neighborhood on the list.  Don't forget to check out the full neighborhood profile.  Taking a glance at some of the current homes for sale, I see a few "shiny pennies" that stand out from the rest.  A brand new "Cottage" just came on the market, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a little over 1700 square feet.  The Agritopia Cottages could be considered "courtyard homes".  The garages are "rear entry" while the front of the home faces out to a common courtyard.  There isn't a backyard but a sideyard.  Very nice for those craving low-maintenance living.  This home has a wrought-iron stair rail and is nicely appointed at a great price, $209k. There is a pre-foreclosure ...

Is This Market Making You Unethical?   With so much turmoil going on in our markets, I guess it's not surprising to see people become unethical. They call it survival.... Everywhere you turn you hear the word "economy". People are actually paying attention to how much money they spend, but we're still far, far away from financial literacy and understanding our economy (just the thought puts many people to sleep). I guess XBOX 360 is more fun than understanding the FED, or the relationship between crude oil and sugar production in Brazil. Who cares, right? (it doesn't affect you..... or so you think) At least, this is what I get from fellow Real Estate Agents who think that this market sucks. It's funny they think that because I'm showing more agents leaving the business (more business f...

Well, I've discovered another great restaurant, this time in Gilbert. Old World Pizza Kitchen features true gourmet pizzas, like a Veal Marsala pizza and a Vodka Sauce pizza.  The restaurant is owned by a retired Brooklyn New York fireman.  He learned to cook and experiment in the kitchen while being a fireman and has certainly come up with some fantastic combinations.  We tried the Asparagus appetizer, which featured fresh asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, drizzled in balsamic vinaigrette and service with mozzarella and roasted peppers.  Hmm..mm, it was to die for!  We next tried the Veal Marsala pizza.  That too was excellent, cooked to perfection.  The veal was very tender, the sauce favorful and not overwhelming and the mushrooms added just the right  flavor to complete the dish.  Hi...

The draw of Seville as an attractive investment for Gilbert home buyers, has allowed this neighborhood to steadily close sales.  There are 107 homes currently for sale, which is slightly more than last month.  However 13 homes have closed escrow during September which is almost double than August.  28 homes have currently accepted offers.  When location is everything in real estate, it really pays to invest in a neighborhood that continues to sell, even in a down market.  Some of the draws of Seville include:  great school within the community, friendly and outgoing neighbors, the (totally optional) country club and golf club that are very family focused, and the proximity to the San Tan Mountains. To learn more about living in Seville, check out the neighborhood profile at Finding Phoe...
