Rentec Direct, leading Property Management Software and Tenant Screening company has challenged its employees to the viral social media ALS ice bucket challenge. Several of the employees have accepted the challenge on August 26, 2014. Links to Rentec Directs employees videos can be found at the bottom of this press release. In addition to raising money for a great cause the ALS ice bucket challenge has increased awareness about this lethal disease. ALS was first found in 1869 by French neurologist Jean-Martin Charcot, but it wasn’t until 1939 that Lou Gehrig brought national and international attention to the disease. The cactus doesn't attract one bit of attention...  until it blooms.  Google "night blooming cereus," and you'll find a community of ardent admirers of the plant, some utterly magnificent photographs, and reams and reams of print. We're fortunate to see them in the wild here in Tucson.  This one bloomed along a riding trail in Catalina State Park, just north of Tucson, AZ, in the shadow of Pusch Ridge.  ___________________ I'm Mike in Tucson, your preferred Tucson, AZ Mortgage lender. Funny how commenting on someone's post will get you started on a post of your own! Mike Jaquish in North Carolina posted on roof repairs, and I thought of this home I looked at last week. According to one of the neighbors, the out-of-town listing agent told the owner that he would have to repair the roof before listing the home, even though he was selling it as is, since the roof must be intact for the home to be considered livable. I guess a little advice is better than none. LOL  The absentee owner/investor hired an out-of-town roofer, who did just what he was paid to do--re-flash and re-coat the roof!  Hey!  They didn't ask him to replace the brick! The listing proudly announces "brick home."  Of course, the roof will have to come off to repair the brick...  And it's going to be sort...
