This photo is of an actual private golf club in Apache Junction, Arizona.  The Snakehole Golf and Country Club is a 9 hole course with no grass.  The greens are oiled sand, and need to be raked after putting out.   The members live across the street in a winter visitor RV and mobile home park.  During the winter months, one can find half a dozen or so golfers out on the course... Must be a sign of the times and economy ...... the Blockbuster in Gold Canyon located in the Basha's shopping plaza at 5301 S. Superstition Mountain Dr is slated to be closing , according to local press. It is one of four stores that the company has decided to close in the Phoenix Metro area. Apparently the actual date of the closing is not defined at this point, but it will discontinue renting movies and games and will only be selling new and used movies and games. There are plans for Blockbuster to place a Kiosk in the Bashas’ grocery but, the kiosk will only have new release movies available. In order to rent older movies or games customers will be sent to nearby full-service Blockbuster locations.
