A “Rock n Roll” Paint-a-Thon is coming up on Saturday October 23, 2010 in Apache Junction Arizona. This is the 7th year for this terrific program that helps seniors maintain their homes. Needy or disabled seniors over 60 years old are selected to receive a paint job for their property. The City of Apache Junction has teamed up with Rebuilding Together, Valley of the Sun for this event this year.   Volunteers for the task are needed! Hope Women’s Center is a local Apache Junction/ Gold Canyon area non profit that has been around for about 25 years. Wheeeeeee, what a roller coaster ride we've had in the Arizona real estate market!  We are now at 50% negative equity - tied with Florida, topped only by Nevada at 70%.  Have we hit the bottom?  It appears that we are at the bumpy roller coaster bottom, will the prices dip down even more?  Is there a huge shadow inventory of homes going into foreclosure?  Seriously folks.....look at it....if it dips a little more or prices fluctuate a few $$ you can buy a home for sometimes half of what it would take to build the same home - let's not be too greedy.  The only way to see if you have hit the very bottom is wait for a couple years and look back and see.....course ITS TOO LATE THEN!  If you've always wanted to have a home in Arizona or if you would like to take advantage of our current low ...

  Market Snapshot: Apache Junction AZ - June 2010 The overall market continues to deteriorate in the Metro Phoenix area. A positive note is that banks are issuing fewer new foreclosure notices. Congress has recently extended the $8,000 tax credit close deadline for 90 days. We will need to wait to see the full results of the ripple effect this program will have in the greater Phoenix market over the next few months. More women are apparently taking to the roadways and rising motorcycles. Back in 1990 only about 3% of motorcycle riders were women, but today women represent about 23% of those who ride. Formerly more women were riding on the back of a hubby's or boyfriend's bike, but today women "more women are moving from the backseat to the front seat".
