Ok I heard this one in church so my pastor is a funny guy. As the story goes little Bill after Sunday school was being escorted into the sanctuary for services as he and the other young people were being led up to hear the pastor the teacher kept telling them to be quiet in church. Finally after being told numerous times to be quiet in church Bill asked why do people need to be quiet in church and the teacher responded “Most of the people are asleep up there” I add nothing to this enjoy the day.
It seems like only yesterday I could run for miles, jump tall buildings but I don’t know about stopping bullets. I pretty much know what I’m going to do as far as a contract goes. Now opening my mouth and inserting my foot is another thing. I never have been able not to spit out what I think and sometimes it does me good and sometimes not so good. As I age I have earned to think about it before I speak but now for the meaning of (kaj’e tat) to think seriously and deeply; ponder; consider. So tell me do you think before you speak or write that contract?
Before you go getting up in arms been there done that so now that is out of the way here we go. If you make an error do you blame someone else? On the other hand if all goes well do you take credit for the accomplishment? If you are willing to blame someone else when it goes to hell in a hand basket why take the credit when all goes well? Blame yourself when it goes bad and sleep well at night. This society is always looking for a scapegoat when it goes downhill and then stand up on a bandwagon when all goes well. As the story goes a plane was on its flight from point a to point b. All was going well and then they received a notification on the panel the rear door was not shut properly. The pilot went to investigate and as he pushed on the door to make sure it was shut properly the door came open. All the bells and whistles went off and the plane dropped like 4,000 feet like a rock. The passengers were screaming and the oxygen masks dropped from their secure location. However they did not need it. The co-pilot asked for emergency landing and as luck would have it an airport was nearby. Everyone knew the pilot was sucked out of the plane and as emergency personnel arrived as the plane taxied to its place they noticed the pilot holding onto the door. Over the weekend I had some company come in and visit. We went out to eat Saturday and Sunday morning both we both woke up sick. Won't go into a log vivid description but it did not take a brain surgeon to figure out we had a touch of food poison. It being a Sunday I had a choice to make. Either go to the local hospital emergency room (can we say $$$ man) or to the number one cure all in my family my wife. I have a success story about an appraisal. Well I consider it one because I have been through a ton of obstacles with this one property I have had since November. I got the listing in November of 2008. It turned into a short sale in Jan. of 2009. I have had countless offers on this property and two contracts have fallen through in which one was a week away from closing. The buyer could not financially afford the home even though I got a pre qual letter on him. Also the house didn't appraise for listed price. We were asking $139,900 and it only appraised for $133,500.
