Eugene Klass was born in New York City, New York back in 1919 to Martin and Eva. He attended New Utrecht High School. He later attended the Chatham Square School of music due to a scholarship awarded to him for his vocal ability. After graduation he made his way to Broadway as Captain Paul Duval in the 1942 revival of The new Moon. By 1951, he was hired in the role of Dr. Frank Addison and as they say the rest is history. From 1958-1961 he was the star in a TV role about a real-life U.S. Marshal, gambler and gunman. More on that in a moment. His next TV series was from 1963-1965, where he won the golden Globe Award.
