Early Spring in Mountain Home Arkansas offers all kinds of fun.  Click here To learn more about Mountain Home Arkansas  or call John Howard at 1-870-404-3614. Early Spring can turn thoughts to vegetable gardens, flower gardens, and even water gardens.  I have been guilty of trying to rush Mother Nature and turn over my garden spot in February....don't laugh....When it is 70 degrees and a beautiful sunshine filled day it is easy to lose track that it is still very Early Spring.  Now,  We don't have lots of 70 degree days in february, but we do have them!  I so crave the fresh tomatos that will be bragged on as they begin to vine ripen later in the year                                             While I am most likely jumping the gun here even hoping for an Early Spring.  The robins have...

Small Town Lifestyle with small city amenities describes Mountain Home, Arkansas.  You bet I am partial!  Call me at 1-870-404-3614, or check my website at www.mymountainhomearkansas.com for more info.  People ask me what I mean when I say "Small Town Lifestyle",  Some of You are old enough to remember The Andy Griffith show on television.  You know....Opie and Andy...and Barney.  When I think of Small Town Lifestyle that is what I think of.    I have lived and worked in Mountain Home, ARsince 1970.  Yes, I really am that old.  I can remember when the "Ben Franklin" down on the square was the place to shop.  Next door was the "Otasco" (Oklahoma Tire and Supply Company) store.  Living in the rural south as a young teen I was indoctrinated to "manners".  My saturday morning trips to the s...

I had the opportunity to pass along a possible referral this morning to another professional in a nearby state.  I really hate to see these folks leave the area.  The Mountain Home, Arkansas area is famous as a retirement destination and I have the good fortune of finding folks Lake Homes, River Homes and Golf Community Homes. The tough part is when newfound friends have to move for one reason or another.  I will post a photo of their beautiful home overlooking Norfork Lake when I get the listing pulled together.  Head for the Hills of North Central Arkansas, specifically the Mountain Home, Norfork Lake, Bull Shoals Lake, White River area.  For more information email or call me at 1-870/404-3614

I often wonder why people rent for years before attempting to purchase their first house. I know there are many factors in deciding to buy a home (commitment to the area, personal finances, not wanting the resonsibility of home maintenance) and that home ownership may not be for everyone, but if you want a home you may be suprised at how close within reach that goal is. My wife and I moved back to Mtn. Home in 2000 with the idea to start a family, and an affordable home was a major goal. As a first-time home buyer I was a little overwhelmed and very intimidated with the whole process. I figured my first step would be to talk with a REALTOR but I was unsure if this would cost me (It didn't of course, most agents in the area receive their commissions from the Seller and are able to be a B...

Alot of people have had a very "TRAGIC" week along the White River in and around the Mountain Home area. Flooding has taken it's toll to many, many homeowners. Homes, docks, RVs have all been swept down river! The White Buffalo Resort took a HUGE BLOW from the waters. But, all rental cabins will be ready to go for the weekend! God Speed to John, Eileen and family.Families down in Porterfield Estates were "cut off" from civilization when the road leading into the subdivision was washed out from the flooding. They are hopeful that the county will get the road repaired quickly. But, individuals know what could happen to them if the river gets too much rain . We had approx 9" within 2 days. So, they clean up their property and start again.Let us remember them in our prayers this sacred weeke...
