Substitute Teacher As the story goes a substitute teacher was standing in the hallways near some lockers and had that bewilderment look on her face. Another teacher having been there walked over and asked her “I know it’s your first day but believe me it will get better once you get the hang of it.” To that the substitute said, “OH I’ve had a wonderful day the students have been so kind. I know the rest of the day will even get better once I figure how to get the student out of this locker.” Is that like you can’t see the forest for the trees? Isn’t it true sometimes we can’t see the whole picture by getting too close to the problem?
