Huntsville Houses We in Huntsville are currently in a buyer's market for homes for sale. While the national economic downturn and soft real estate market has effected sales of Huntsville houses, we have not been effected to the degree that most of the country has. Houses dim many parts of the country are selling well below their sales price of two years ago while in Huntsville houses prices have remained stable except in a few instances. There is a much higher incidence of foreclosure houses and short sale houses than has been seen in recent memory, overall our housing market is still quite healthy. Low interest rates, Federal tax incentives and projected Huntsville job's growth have all contributed to Huntsville having decent sales of houses. Moody's recently named Huntsville as the se...

Huntsville Houses At this posting there are just over 3,000 Huntsville houses listed in our local Huntsville MLS. While Huntsville area home sales have improved marketed over the past several weeks the is still an excess inventory of Huntsville houses on the market. With home mortgage rates as low as 4.75% we expect sales of Huntsville area Houses to continue to improve as we approach our area's historic peak selling season. While the $8,000 homebuyer tax credit for contract signing ends this April we do expect the local Huntsville real estate market to continue to improve and sales of houses to remain brisk. With new jobs continuing to move to Huntsville we expect continued consistent homes sales. In our office we have seen multiple offers on our listed houses for the first time in sev...

Huntsville continues to have a strong demand for rental properties. With new continuing to move into the Huntsville area the demand for rental properties continues to be robust in the face of a soft real estate market nationally. The slower national housing market has actually benefited our firm. We have picked up a large number of new rental homes in Huntsville from owners who have been transferred out of the area that are not able to sell their home without taking a loss. We are able to find qualified renters for these Huntsville area rental properties and allow the homeowners to hold the house until the real estate market improves. Our firm is the largest Huntsville property management firms for single family homes. At the present time we manage almost 400 rental homes. We have...

Living in Madison and Huntsville Alabama the commute to work is a concern to all especially for those associated with BRAC, NASA, NASA contractors and the many high tech companies that support them. What is a bit of a standing joke is that you can go anywhere in Madison or Huntsville and be at your destination in twenty-five minutes. It has always been a little surprising to me that this is a fairly accurate time frame...unless of course you are trying to get to the same place everyone else is during rush hour. Madison and Huntsville Alabama are experiencing stronger than average growth because of the economy here, lower housing costs, taxes and high employment. The city is doing everything it can to accommodate the rapid growth.   The Redstone Arsenal is a major employer in Madison ...

Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Status With the BRAC move to Huntsville forecasted to bring 4,700 government jobs to Redstone Arsenal through 2011, where do we stand on the progress of this move?  Huntsville job opportunites are looking up! Joe Ritch chairman of the Tennessee Valley BRAC Committee stated in a recent Huntsville Times interview that, ‘All the new construction is on schedule," and "About 2,400 of the nearly 4,700 Army and other federal agency positions moving to Redstone Arsenal have already been filled." Another interesting note from the interview was that 56% of the positions filled came from residents outside of the Tennessee Valley. Thus this relocation migration to the Huntsville area is well underway and will continue through the end of 2011.  The Army Materiel ...

When we accepted a new job in Huntsville at Raytheon, and started to search for homes for sale in Huntsville Alabama   the relocation company assigned us a realtor . That realtor either didn't understand the local Huntsville real estate market or didn't want to invest the time to assist us in our move from Tucson. We found Philip online at the www.Huntsville-Homes.com website. Philip was just what we were looking for. He told us about areas of Huntsville to consider and started sending us properties that would meet our needs while staying in our price range. Since we didn't have much time, he previewed houses for us, sent additional photos and gave us his impression of the homes he viewed. When we made our house hunting trip we had narrowed our search down to just a few houses. Philip ...

The following article is authored by By Kristine Hansen More buyers are being lured to the simplicity and affordability that small homes bring. Plus, these smaller homes are often situated within walking distance to restaurants, stores, and shops. By Kristine Hansen | December 2009 After Sarah Susanka published The Not So Big House(The Taunton Press) 11 years ago, a groundswell of interest emerged about small home living. Tiny prefab homes began popping up on urban lots and prairie pastures alike. There was also renewed interest in downsizing the size of one's home for the sake of simplicity. Now, with an economic slowdown and a desire to live very close to jobs and other services, the trend is just as hot now as it was then. "I call it the cappuccino factor. They want the cappuccino to...

The land is on Powell Road, just north of the original Greenbrier Restaurant. Battle said the city needs to have a large chunk of industrial property available in case "another VW" comes along.
