65 Years Young! Celebrating Leduc #1 Energy Center With a Mural Unveiling! In 1947, Alberta's history was changed forever by the discovery of oil.  The site of that particular blow out had been contaminated by the oil and has been reclaimed by building the Leduc # 1 Energy Center, where people from all over can come and learn about it and Alberta's history in oil & Gas. This weekend is the 65th Anniversary Extravaganza on August 18th and 19th with interesting exhibits and fun for the whole family! Various dignitaries from Provincial Ministers to Mayors of surrounding cities came to speak about how great our province is and the impact oil has had on our Provincial economy. My First Trade Show Experience! Positive Networking in Many Ways! I received an email recently about a trade show from the Leduc Chamber of Commerce, of which I'm a member. It told me I could have a table for free should I want to participate. Having never done a trade show, I emailed Sally Weatherley, home stager extraordinaire and asked her if she had ever done one. She sent me two photo's of her set ups and encouraged me to go for it. They were great pix, but I had been told I had 4 feet of space and only an hour to set up... So this is what I did with what I had. I thought I would make a display about the entrance and what impression it will make on potential buyers.
