My wife and I are currently on a trip to Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies in the province of Alberta. We have been here two days already and have seen much of the town of Banff on the Bow River. The weather has been perfect. What a romantic spot! The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is worth a visit--beautiful grounds; beautiful hotel! We went to see Mozart's opera Cosi Fan Tutte last evening at the wonderful Banff Centre. It was fantastic! Tonight we will take in a new opera called Lillian Alling, written by John Estacio and John Murrell. The town is bustling with tourists and the shopping is great with worthwhile sales in many of the shops. This is a great time of year to visit this little mountain town--near the end of summer.
