World Book and Copyright Day is April 23! Any day that celebrates books and reading is important to me! World Book and Copyright Day was created by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and CulturalOrganization) to  “promote the enjoyment of books and reading.”  Books are like having a time-travel machine or Harry Potter Floo Network. At any time, your book can take you back to a famous Civil War battle or you can jump into the future and imagine what Artificial Intelligence mixed with human emotions has done to society.  Books add a special layer to our daily lives. They allow us to experience different cultures and lifestyles without leaving our homes.  This day also calls attention to copyright to protect intellectual property. And finally, books…literacy…are imperative for ...

This horse community, located in Queen Creek, near the Gilbert, AZ border. This neighborhood features homes with at least 1 acre up to 5 acre parcels. There have been 5 recent sales, ranging from $690,000 to $860,000. Currently there are two homes on the market, and two others "pending". This is also irrigated horse property, which saves you a ton of money. I live in this community and spend around $500 annually in irrigated water. The land is amazing, the dirt easy to dig in, no red clay here. The trees we have thrive, as do all our shrubs, hedges and so on.  Irrigated horse property in Maricopa county is rare. The two homes currently for sale, are listed at $949,900 and $1.9M. All of these homes you can see in the video below. If you'd like to schedule a time to view the ones currently...

Predicting the exact future of the real estate industry is challenging due to the dynamic nature of economic, technological, and societal factors. That said, it is possible to make some educated guesses. Here are some potential trends and developments that could shape the industry over the next 20 years:      Technological Advancements: Technology will continue to play a significant role in reshaping the real estate industry. Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) could revolutionize property viewing experiences, allowing potential buyers to tour properties remotely. AI-powered tools may streamline property searches, facilitate predictive analytics for pricing, and automate various aspects of transactions.      Sustainability and Green Building: With increasing awareness of env...

No one would ever confuse the theater in Washington DC with that in New York ... but we do have the Kennedy Center, National Theater, Arena Stage and others.   In addition, we have two theaters dedicated to bringing the plays of Shakespeare to 21st century audiences. In Washington DC, one of the prominent theaters devoted to Shakespeare is the Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC). This renowned theater company is dedicated to presenting classic works of Shakespeare and other great playwrights, both in their original form and in contemporary adaptations. Here's more information about the Shakespeare Theatre Company and its offerings:Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) Location: The Shakespeare Theatre Company primarily performs at the Sidney Harman Hall (610 F St NW) and the Lansburgh Theatre...

Today at 2:00 pm local time I am presenting a Zoom meeting to Realtors across the country, the topic “Who’s Moving to The Villages”.  The Zoom session is a weekly feature presented by ActiveRain the largest Real Estate blogging site in the world.  ActiveRain is where I started my blogging career in 2007 and now share on 10 other platforms.  I was surprised they invited me back for another Zoom as last time some participates asked about the “folklore” surrounding The Villages, of course I did share a few of the false rumors!Anyway, this is mostly for my Facebook Page followers, many of you have moved here from somewhere else and some of you are planning on moving here in the future.  The question is why?  The weather, the 55+, low taxes, the 40 recreation centers, the 93 pools, the over ...

The evidence is not always on the lips of the liar but the lie always comes from the lips of a liar.I am not a big Jim Carrey fan but I thought the movie Liar, Liar was his best.In Real Estate their is no such thing as a good lie. Many Real Estate students here on Active Rain ask what is the most important fiduciary responsibility and of course every one is important but it really goes all the way back to those stone tablets God gave Moses. (it's the ninth one in case you need to look it up).
