At the end of 2021, the housing market remains in frenzy with more buyers than there are available houses. indicates buyers are eager to purchase a home to protect themselves from potential interest rate hikes. The past year buyers were making offers quickly since homes were remaining on market only a few days.  This means buyers during the hottest part of buying season had less time to make home buying decision.  With rate hikes on the horizon, home buyers may try to beat the higher monthly housing cost in the future.  If this happens, this will drive up competition and increase housing prices.  Coming into the new year housing inventory expected to improve.  Hopefully, buyers who were not successful in 2021 may have greater success in 2022.

Prepare for the fallout. While growing up, many adults offered good advice like, “Do not wake up the sleeping bear." “Don’t poke a hornet’s nest.” Or “Let the sleeping dog lie.” "Don't shake a burdened tree." All for good reason. Conversations on social media platforms create an opportunity to share information between one another, to catch up, to teach, to learn and grow. Relationship building  comes from like-mindedness and healthy respect. Some people see on-line conversations as an opportunity to angrily deflect, verbally purge, to be heard above everyone else, at any cost to those present. It is an intentional act and clear lack of respect to all! Let's face it, there are those who:  feel the need to pick apart another's words insert themselves just for argument's sake or attack th...

Energy efficiency is a growing concern among homeowners, and solar panels are a well-known resource in improving efficiency and helping the environment. The amount of money a homeowner can save by using solar power is attractive enough, but how do solar panels affect property value? Solar Adoption is GrowingTwo years ago, the U.S. had hit 2 million solar installations and the researchers at Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables expected " installations to double by 2023." In fact, Pew Research found that 46% of U.S. homeowners are considering residential solar panels.High demand can lead to a faster sale and/or a higher sales price, but there are still a few other factors that will impact the value of your home on paper.Location ConsiderationsAccording to a 2019 Zillow Economic Res...

YouTube Thursdays - January 20, 2022  We've been preparing for an appointment to preview a riverfront property today.  Therefore video marketing for our rural homes and lifestyles niche takes a back burner this week. In the meantime, we thought it might be fun to show a bit of our "everyday"  rural lifestyle. Believe me, it's not always work around here.  Forget Forrest Gump, Meet Forrest JumpForrest has a favorite move. We think he's always jumping for joy. He also does anything he can to lure Finnegan into play-time. Finnegan, who thinks he's the mature one at almost two,  tries to ignore him, but eventually Forrest Jump wins.    What to do when it snows? Knit? Read? Puzzles? Speaking of maturity, here's how we enjoyed a snow day last month. We may be baby boomers (Don't call us senio...
