 The Town of Larkspur is located 40 miles south of Denver and West of I-25.   The town was incorporated in 1979 and today is known for the Renaissance Festival held every year in Larkspur and the Yogi Bear's Jellystone Campground.   Most homes in Larkspur are on lots of one acre or more and surrounded by trees.   You will see lots of wildlife - deer, mountain lions, bears (brown & black), foxes, coyotes, and lots of birds.  Going to the grocery store will require a trip to Castle Rock, and depending on where in the town you live, it could be 15 minutes.   There isn't much in the "town", but a gas station, post office, three restaurants, and of course two golf courses with restaurants.   Bear Dance Golf Course is closer to I-25, and Perry Park Golf Course is on the West side of town. The... 09/23/2023

This was one of 1500 buffalo up in Custer State park.  Next week on September 29 and 30 this have the annual roundup.  The purpose is to give them their shots can cut some of the herd to keep the herd at 1500.  They sell the buffalo to people that want to buy them.  If I had the room in the car, I buy one, wait I do not have a backyard big enough.   09/23/2023

Yes, you read that right. Octopuses are amazing creatures that have not one, not two, but three hearts. Two of their hearts are called branchial hearts, which pump blood through each of their two gills. The third heart is called the systemic heart, which pumps blood through the rest of their body.The reason why octopuses need three hearts is because their blood is not very efficient at carrying oxygen. Their blood contains a copper-based protein called hemocyanin, which gives their blood a blue color. Hemocyanin is less effective than the iron-based hemoglobin that we have in our red blood cells.Therefore, octopuses need more blood pressure to ensure adequate oxygen supply to their vital organs, especially when they are swimming fast or escaping from predators. There is still a scarcity of supply in the Mid-Atlantic region. but the gap from 2022 levels has narrowed with new listings down just 7.8% from this time last year. In typical years, there is a significant decrease in listings throughout August, but this year, listings have stayed far steadier. Labor Day weekend did not slow down listing activity with the number of new listings up 2.6% from a week earlier. The median list price reported by Bright MLS made a jump for the week ending September 3rd, it was $395,000, a 2.6% increase. The list price is also up 5.3% from last year.  Contracts were down only slightly. While new contracts were down 16.5% from last year, the week-over-week decrease into the holiday weekend, down 3.2%, is far less than in recent years at this time. With mortgage ... 09/23/2023
