Not for any reason . . . but it does not take long for AC to kick in so start it up and turn on AC. Also we are pretty conditioned to deal with 'outside' in early AM hours whenever possible!

No.  I used to have that ability with my car, but that relied on a 3g network and is no longer available.

I do not. I have no need for it, my car is garaged nightly and we're largely 75 & sunny -My neighbor's truck get stolen that way in 2001 - up in San Mateo, CA - someone knew his morning routine. Back then they were still key start vehicles so not having the remote didn't matter. The remote had a kill switch but the kid was too far away for the signal by the time my neighbor realized it had been taken. Turned out it was one of his son's friends that joyrided it into a shopping cart corral while doing donuts in a grocery store parking lot.

No. (1). They are illegal in some counties around here due to high rate of car thefts. (2) They are dangerous because some people died because their bedroom was above garage, their car was in garage, they used remote start to start their car, then dozed back off and died from carbon monoxide poisoning. (3) Cars warm up pretty quickly these days, so there is no need to use a remote starter.

I do but have never used it since I don't know how...it's probably time to learn. They come in handy here during the summer but aren't needed in the winter. That would have been great when we lived up north, though.

Nope, we don't even have a garage.  It's rarely even so cold we need heated seats.

Nope.  We rarely have days where we are below freezing.  I can roll down my windows remotely in summer to cool the car off a bit on my way to the car. But my daughter does have remote start for in the heat.

If I do, I don't know that I do. Not an issue for me as (1) my car stand in a garage and (2) we don't have those kinds of temps or snow. I do have seat heaters... although could never figure out why I needed them here.

Got one for my wife our first Christmas, when we’re dating. She had a new car and had just been broken into a few months before. Bought it for the alarm, and the started was a nice bonus. I think that’s what sold me to her. I regret that present every Christmas….

Expert guidance. Exceptional results.

I don’t have a remote car starter, but I sure wish I did—especially on days when it feels like you could freeze an egg on the sidewalk! Living up north as I do, I can only imagine how nice it must be to step into a warm car when it’s 40 degrees below zero with the wind chill factor. And you’re right, I’ve seen those posts from folks down in Arizona dealing with oven-like car temps, too. It makes me think: Do those “Hotties” use their remotes to blast the AC before they hop in? I guess it’s a handy way to dodge the heat, just like we battle the cold.

Yes and it can be handy if you use it! I have had it for years and tis year is the first time I used  it. During the summer it can be a big benefit cooling the vehicle before entering. Recently with the cold snap I use it to warm the car. It ids a real benefit once you develop the habit of using it.

No, never thought it was that great. You only need 5 mins according to auto mechanics. My neighbor moved to the US from elsewhere warm & he used to warm his car for 3 hours on a cold day. Told him that was ridiculous.

We do expect snow all day on Sunday in the DC Metro Area. The weather is changing a lot of plans for the inauguration.

No I don't, and in Denver starting your car and leaving it unattended is called "puffing", and against the law.  You will get a ticket.  The police don't want you to do this, as so many thieves are waiting for people to do this, and steal their car.
