That remains to be seen. I still see prices rising, people getting taxed out of their homes, and those whose dream of homeownership is challenging. There needs to be a correction.

I would rather comment on the data side of this issue rather than politics. When I look at the St. Louis Fed Median home price chart independent of any other factors- it's pretty clear we are in a housing bubble. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/MSPUS . Again based on this chart- it looks like the median home price is overvalued about roughly $100k vs historic price growth. That said- the chart doesn't accurately account for the housing shortages in many parts of the nation. Even with housing shortages- price appreciation is well above salary increases. At best- I could see national home prices appreciating through artificial means. In this scenario- pretend and extend can work for awhile- but there won't be a happy ending. Hopefully, we don't go down this path. The best way for real growth in housing prices is for salaries to increase rather than having the Fed/other government interventions. It's a balancing act that we rarely achieve- but it is possible. My market is historically contrarian, and we didn't even keep up with normal levels of inflation in the last few years- but I expect this to change soon.
