Hi John, Is your email with gmail? If so, it is very easy to report spam, just click on the icon for spam at the top of the page. If you are not a gmail user, do a search for "report gmail spam to google". Or you can go to support.google.com and search there.

Most e-mail services give the user the ability to:
1. mark email as spam which should hide future mail from view AND put the sender on the naughty list.
2. Redirect all email from that address to your spam or trash folder.
3. Configure so ONLY those appearing in your address book appear in your 'IN' folder. This means you need to troll your spam folder in case 'MOM' changes email addresses and you end up ghosting her.
No process is bullet proof. Data leaks and venders selling list are common.
Too much protection and you never know when your auto warranty expiry will occur. The reality is SPAM is the seasoning of real life.

If it is not easy to report it, I just delete it and move on. Some things will find a way to annoy you no matter what you do! Good luck.

I get those all of the time and have just ignored them.  I think if we report and block them perhaps it sends a notification to google or something.  I will follow along with the answers here since there are people likely more knowledgeable about it than I am.

Whatever program you use (Outlook, etc) just report it as spam so it will be filtered out. I think you think you have to go to GMail to report these losers but you don't.

I've noticed that some spammers don't even have an address for me to block. I don't know how they can get away with that. Maybe someone with a higher IQ can help here.

There's a little picture at the top of your email (once you check and email) that looks like a stop sign and has an exclamation mark in the middle. If you hover above it, it says report spam. When you do that, it will send those emails to your spam box going forward. I believe it also marks that email address as a spam email for future distribution.

To my knowledge, Google does not suppress spam. They suppress disinformation only ... and since spam is fake, they won't delete it. Fake is the new normal and it stays as truth.

I get those emails also and I do not have the products they claim to renew.  I block the user.

No, not really.  Reporting to an abuse email rarely does anything that I've seen.  Your best bet is just to mark it as spam in your system and be done with it.

I used to forward to the fed's reporting system.  NEVER saw anything come from that and I must have sent dozens there.  They eventually took the site down too.  Like "Lisa" the robot calling my cell phone to sell me something, there isn't anything we can do about it.

I get a couple dozen of those per day.

Just report them, click on the dots on the upper right corner of the message and select "report phishing attempt".
