California has been in a drought for many many many years.  So, yes, lakes are down and small ones are bone dry.

Lakes and reservoirs across California are at record low levels.

Recently in Lake Mead, due to the low level of water, a rusted barrel was uncovered, stuck in the mud, with human remains inside. Speculation is that a murder victim has been hidden since the 1970s or so.

We've done OK this year with some early storms so our lakes are doing OK.  We just got some more snow in the Sierras yesterday so that'll help!

Yes, many of our CA lakes are low.  We could use a wet winter or three.

Lake Michigan is down 9" from last year same time.

Lakes are fine. All I hear about is rising sea levels and vacating the shorelines.
In June every other day will be incessant blather about storm surge.

Some lake in Vegas dropped enough to uncover a body in an oil drum.  Oh the mob!

Chicago has Lake Michigan and we get reports of the lake rising and falling from time to time. We likely don't have your problem. It is a big and deep lake supplying water to a large populace.

No - there are no lakes in my area, but they say the ocean is on the rise.

Population increases in California, Phoenix, Nevada etc. is causing water shortages in that region.

Not a problem here in the South Eastern U.S.  

We are fine in the northeast. 

The lakes here in Tennessee are full, and we had more rain than usual this year so all the boaters are happy

No, in my travels I have noticed in some parts of the country they are low and others they seem to be okay.

Lakes out west are hitting devastating lows once again.  Los Angeles is starting a odd even watering schedule and only allowing watering twice a week for a limited time period.

Every reservoir in my area is down to critical levels.  Extreme drought conditions here in N. California.
