I doubt that we will here in my area Will Hamm . Our area has been designated as a extreme drought area for several years in a row BUT considering all the moisture we have received this year already I think we will see less favorable conditions for fires here.

Yes to more fires coming. Fire prevention is not in or on budgets consequently it remains a calculated risk. If it goes on a budget, then some other much needed service is neglected. How did we get here? Bloated pensions, medical care and unrestrained disability claims in cities & states eat up all the monies. NOTE: the other day, I cam across something that cost let's say $20. Out the door its closer to $23. That be taxes! What do they do with it all? Same with price of gasoline, IRS revenue etc. Now a days, you get a ticket while driving and it is imperative to cities that you do. Why? They need the income. Sorry state of affairs for such a great country

Depends on whether we have a wet spring and summer. In MA & New England  we don't usually see wildfires

I'm sure there will be. While I occasionally hear of fires on the East Coast, I'm glad we don't experience them like you do on the West Coast.

I hope not.  The last few years the unhealthy air has been awful and the loss of timber and homes beyond anything.

We have our fingers crossed that this year will be better than last. We had fires all around us once the fires were finally almost out, we flooded major highways washed out it was a wild year last year.

Most likely Will.  There is another one burning close to Prescott too.  The high winds we're getting isn't helping the situation.

Certainly we will have them - it happens every year in CA. Whether there will be more than last year is hard to say. We are still having major drought conditions.

We did get our normal amount of moisture this winter - If we get rains in the Spring and once in a while in the summer, we might be okay. But we'll see.

Being from a big city and living downtown, not sure we will see an uptick in our area. Seems out West in your area and California they get worse every year..

Things are very green around here during the summer, and very wet right now.

The only time we get fires is that time in the spring after the snow melts and the old grass is matted down, once the new grass gets growing the fire danger is very very low.

We've gotten some late season rain here in NorCal that will definitely help us out.  Recent bad fire years have also burned up a lot of potential tinder, so hoping this year is more mild in terms of fire

Hmm, I don't watch the news so I wasn't even aware of the fire in Flagstaff which is only around 2 hours from me.  It seems that every year in Arizona there are big fires though.  Hopefully, the firefighters are prepared and handling it properly.

It's pretty rare to see a brush fire of any size here in Florida. Controlled burns are done frequently in areas at high risk and that helps limit the number of fires we see. If a brush fire does pop up, it is usually not major and extinguished fairly quickly. Winter is usually our dry season but we have had a lot of rain this year and are now coming into our rainy season so hopefully we won't have fires to worry about.

Southern California has been getting more dangerous year after year for a decade.  We seem to be in better shape than in the past few years as far as vegetation growth is concerned.  I appears that the wilderness has been thinned out some.  We had some rain but not enough to make things grow out of control.  Keeping our fingers crossed for less fires this year.

we never have them.  Our forestry services does smaller controlled undergrowth burns and that prevents out of control forest fires.

Not too many fires in my area other than the marshes usually set afire each year by kids.  Every time I see a driver flick a butt out the window, I cringe though.
