This year I'm sharing my crystal ball. If you don't have one, I recommend Buffini & Company Bold predictions, Barry Habib of MBS Highway, Lab Coat Agents and NAR who all did 2022 predications and all seemed to compliment the other within in tight margins of difference.

Next 2 months?

I doubt it'll go up a whole point in 2022. End of Q1? Not enough to make a big difference, Will!

I'd love to see it get up to 14% and 20% again to make savings accounts great again.  Probably won't get over 6% though and I doubt it'll go much over 4.6% for 30 year, fixed, owner-occupied with super credit.

Will,

I have a crystal ball, but it is clear, so I have no predictions.  Whatever will be, will be!  A

No idea.  Of course, this is an election year for many in Congress so I would imagine things will be kept in check UNLESS the power structure decides differently.

eh 3.5 at tops, but I feel they won't go higher and that inflation will keep them artificially low so the economy won't tank further.

Not sure Will but the Feds most likely raise rates quarterly to hedge inflation as in some past cycles.

The Federal Reserve rate is likely to go up in March, but not by more than 1/4 point. What individual lending institutions decide to do will be up to them.

I think the consistent increases we have seen recently will pause and most likely reverse somewhat, with a gradual rise by the end of the year.

Does it matter?  People will still need homes and interest is not likely to affect that unless it takes a huge jump.
