Direct Mail was an expensive proposition in Canada years ago but now it is even worse at $1.21 per piece (including the 13% tax)   Crazy !!  When I did direct mailing once upon a time, it was cheaper to pay a kid with a wagon and it was more accurate & efficient!

Fred,

I had not heard that, and thus far I have plenty of stamps.  Whatever, the hike is, I would not stop from marketing mail if that brings in results.  A

When and if I start a mailing campaign, which I should and which I keep telling myself that I am going to do, the cost of postage will be just part of the overall cost and not a deal breaker.

It will have no impact on my business mailings. Recently when I was cleaning out my office I found several rolls of Forever Stamps that I bought years ago and put in a "safe" place so that was a nice surprise.

Nancy wll have run up a 15 Trillion dollar national debt before she's done.
Maybe they will collect from the taxpayer one stamp at a time.
Everything is going to cust more.
Watch the narrative from Washington refer to inflation as everthing but inflation.
Will it affect my marketing and mailing?  No.
But I won't like it.

Currently we only send out cards to expired, however we do plan to step it up in the fall with a few targeted farming areas.

The article does not specify what they will be going up to, do you know how much bulk and first class postcards will be going up to?

Just a cost of doing business. Annoying for sure, but it would not impact my marketing plans if direct mail was a part of it. My biz is different, but I have found very high ROI on email so I keep doing and improving that. I keep trying to grow my list, even though that means paying more by month.

The paypal rate  increase on 8/2 will impact me more...I think an extra $150/month, but again a cost of doing business expense.  I'll just need sell some more books...and I can do that by growing my email list.  I wish I had started that list a bit sooner.
