A friend of mine "escaped" Dallas yesterday after power outages, having her flight cancelled, then rerouted to LAX but had to be de-iced first.  She finally arrived here on the Monterey Peninsula Noonish where it's sunny and 59 degrees.  But even here, it was 35 degrees when I went to the athletic club pool this morning--it heated to 85 degrees.  No wonder our real estate inventory is so low, everyone wants to come here. 

We had the biggest storm in five years a few weeks ago. Right now, relatively unscathed, but expecting another one starting tomorrow morning. In the past we have had many power outages in the area, mostly from trees falling on wires. Personally, we have an all-house generator; the trick is to make sure it works! Stay safe!

Lights are on expecting more snow tonight.

We want to see snow and it is critical for the winter economy. Playing in it, with skis and snowsleds. Pond hockey, ice fishing. But also plowing it. All part of the local economy. We have less than usual.. when it snows, life goes on and know how to handle it driving, plowing, planning our recreational around it.

Mmmph mmmph mmmph no we don't do snow here mmmph mmmph mmmph did I tell you the story about the guy I saw cruising down Highway 95 pulling a boat, the driver's door was completely gone and his truck was lifted about 8 inches  . . . and here he is with no door and if he fell out it would be a good long way down . . . but he had his mask on!

That is what the snow birds are saying about their places up north and why the are refusing to leave FLORIDA and go home.

Sam- I'm in Houston and we just got our power back on. We had temps in the teens with a single digit windchill factor. We got snow on Monday. And it will freeze again tonight. 

I'm in the Southwest area of Houston and we are still dealing with this BS. And more expected by the week's end. LOL - Maybe it's time to move back to the Northern States...

nope, just cold rain where I am, but looking forward to spring like weather next week.

Since I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the South end of the Bay about a mile away, the weather is typically California mild. Beautiful day today with cool weather and blue sky with fluffy clouds. My iPhone weather app says it will be the same as today for the next week or so. Daytime temperatures from low 60s to low 70s.

no storms here, but I am really ready for spring.

We need more Rain!

We've had our snowstorms but business as usual or as usual as can be in a pandemic.  We deal with -40 degree temps as well as +40 degree temps; it's called weather, lol. 

The winter storm is visiting Maryland today. Very icy.

It is winter in NH, it snows, it is cold and life goes on. March will be here soon and spring will follow. 

That's just winter for us in NY but I do feel for those whose infrastructures aren't ready for such weather. 

It is snowing as I respond here in Chicago. The worst was the other day. We are still digging out the side streets.

Day 3 of KW Family Reunion from Texas, the rolling blackouts are making it tough on them.

   Freezy frosty... it will be 22 degrees tomorrow night.   We have propane gas room heaters, a gas water heater, and a gas stove.  Plus oil lamps in the house.  So if the power goes out, we will be okay.

Yes, the snow started Sunday in the DFW area. I live in Parker Counry NW of Fort Worth, Texas. It's been over 30 years since our area experienced anything this rough. Temperature dipping in single digits plus  people without electricity and water. Looking forward to a warmup!

In Dallas Metro we've had temperature below freezing for 8 days now.....
