ZERO has always been the average price I've paid for roses in the 2nd week of February.

I find it best to spread the love with high quality kitchenware at anytime of the year. Great "investment" and rave reviews always from the recipients! (Including nieces)

well this is the week that everyone gets screwed. They are below $10 usually in a grocery store situation. Now they are double just thru the weekend. I am shocked every year when Walmart supplies flowers! Ack ... 

Here the local grocery stores are the best. Seems wierd but that's how it is here outside Chicago.

I don't buy roses from a florist by the rose.  I buy arrangements that may contain roses.  I buy rose bushes for myself.

I could have gotten them for much less at the local grocery store or from a street vendor but just a few minutes ago a dozen long stem red roses arrived, in a lovely vase, delivered by the best florist in town, for my wife, that surely cost more that a rose bush would have.

I have no idea of what roses cost!  I did buy some tulips for friends at Costco and that was a super buy at $13.00.  Really cool clear glass vase with tulip bulbs (that show) and the flowers open up over a week or so.  Gorgeous!

My husband is not buying them. He buys me flowers almost every week instead of the inflated time around Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.

Zilch. I don't remember the last time I bought roses.

$0.00!  I'm single  LOL!  Plus I have my own rose garden.

my wife prefers I buy her a plant she can continue to enjoy.  I think the most I ever paid was $40 her her Nancy Reagan rose bush

It has gone up because of Valentine's Day.  It's wintry weather here and I would rather that everyone is safe at home.  No need to drive to get roses.  Actually, I love lillies, tulips, and peonies better than roses 🙂

The importance of the price of the roses is inversely related to the (perceived) wrong I have (allegedly) committed.

My hubby delivered a dozen roses to me last week, which was a smart thing to do! So I bet he paid less than he would have if he purchased them today.

By the way, I think Valentine's Day is an overblown day that causes way too much stress on many couples.
