Suggestion: Respectfully but firmly deny the statement as untrue so anyone reading it will know you highly value integrity. (You can suggest to the readers to confirm your true level of service that they simply read the other reviews!) Secondly, in line with that, make sure your reviews page has an overwhelming number of legitimate reviews of your outstanding service. (You may have to reach out to some of your clients for some assistance if you need some more reviews) People can see through a fake review.

Sounds like one of those Anti-Virus programs, where they send out the virus and then offer to 'fix' it! You have a right to know who would post that Tammy.

No I have tried for a few years with no success. I didn't have anyone call me but I did respond saying that I didn't agree with that person. They will not remove anything unless it has a link or porn in it.

You might tell G exactly what you think. It would be great to find out who that actually is.

I'm in the wrong business.  It sounds like they've set you up with a bad review, and then contacted you to sell you their "removal" services.

Its sickening that getting business has boiled down to lying about someone.

Last year, I got a crappy review by someone who called the office and spoke to me about 30 seconds...

When I looked at her history, she did not like anyone.  She even complained about a nail salon because the nailpolish was not shiney enough.

Never tried to get a review removed. I would not use the service. Sounds like they work both ends!

You can report it, but chances are (like with Yelp) they have no responsibility to remove them.  Yelp has been sued over this (and other abhorrent practices) before and won because they are an advertising company not a review company (go figure, right?).

The best you can do, like Craig Daniels said, is to reply to the review "This person never called and right after they started soliciting a review removal service."  After that, get a whole bunch of your friends and past clients to leave glowing reviews of you.

I know quite a few of these review services, I've seen them sold as businesses on some of my marketing forums.  The majority of what they do is burying your bad reviews with (fake) good ones.
