I don't even know what mince meat pie is & I'm glad. 

Regular turkey & all the fixin's.  In high school one of my friends traditions was goose. The neighborhood was up in arms.

My sister makes the worst green-bean casserole on the planet. How can you mess that up? 

For Thanksgiving? The typical turkey meal.  Now Christmas is an entirely different thing!

Hot fresh foods and all you can eat.....

Will Hamm My Grandmother made mincemeat with whiskey and rum in it, I do have the recipe and the better half says not in her house!

Maybe I'll swing by early evening!

Traditions did not include mince meat pie or whiskey.

I've done different things for Thanksgiving - I think the day is more about family than what we eat. Unfortunately, this year, no family will be with us physically.... And we're starting a new food tradition. Wild turkey. Wild Montana turkey. Soaked overnight in brine. Yum.

Hi Will, the usual turkey, dressing, etc. Apple, chocolate, lemon meringue and pecan pie too!

I make cranberry sauce from scratch from organic berries, and we always stuff our turkey with apples and lemons to give it a fresh taste, and the turkeys are organic too.  LOL A

We would go to the high school Thanksgiving Day football game then home to a great meal followed by football. Somewhat modified this year

Oh Will Hamm, you just brought back memories for me. I was the only one in my family that liked mincemeat pie as a kid.  My Dad would always be sure I had one. I haven't had one for years but I may renew that tradition with your Dad's recipe.
