I don't even know what mince meat pie is & I'm glad.

Regular turkey & all the fixin's.  In high school one of my friends traditions was goose. The neighborhood was up in arms.

My sister makes the worst green-bean casserole on the planet. How can you mess that up?

Will Hamm My Grandmother made mincemeat with whiskey and rum in it, I do have the recipe and the better half says not in her house!

Maybe I'll swing by early evening!

gobble, gobble.  Its not about the bird, it is all about the side dishes.  How many ways can you make green bean casserole?

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Let's remember that we have much for which to be thankful.

This year we are starting a new tradition, Will Hamm

Fully decorated house for the small dinner being prepared by my wife and eaten only by the two of us.

The enduring tradition from past years will be the leftovers.

If it's up to me no pie.  I don't like pie.  But it's not up to me so a family member made a pecan pie.  Which is Gary's favorite.

Wow, whiskey in mince meat pies. That sounds like a tradition that should keep on giving.

I've done different things for Thanksgiving - I think the day is more about family than what we eat. Unfortunately, this year, no family will be with us physically.... And we're starting a new food tradition. Wild turkey. Wild Montana turkey. Soaked overnight in brine. Yum.

I make cranberry sauce from scratch from organic berries, and we always stuff our turkey with apples and lemons to give it a fresh taste, and the turkeys are organic too.  LOL A

Oh Will Hamm, you just brought back memories for me. I was the only one in my family that liked mincemeat pie as a kid.  My Dad would always be sure I had one. I haven't had one for years but I may renew that tradition with your Dad's recipe.
