Perhaps the virus is more contagious between 10pm and 5am.

We need to stop the shutdowns and the lies. What a coincidence that the numbers ticked up right before the election. Fauci is the biggest criminal of them all with a 50% royalty on the vaccines. No wonder they don't want effective cures like HCQ being discussed! We need to lock up Fauci and throw away the key!

CA has a tiered system of restrictions, county by county, based on positivity rates and hospitalizations, so your neighboring county could be enjoying more freedom than where you are. Maddening & frustrating but better than a total lockdown again!

No. In fact, one of the towns near me held a public meeting to decide whether more restrictions were needed. There was a lot of "NOs" from the public so they decided not to do anything else.
And really, what is a 10pm to 5am curfew supposed to do? People only share the virus at nighttime?

Looting, destroying private property, killing innocent people and burning up big cities by local government is allowed as long as a mask is worn.
But that is not happening here Will!

See what Karen Funk said! San Diego County is on the verge of being bumped down to the purple tier...the most restrictive level in CA. We'll see if that happens next week - could mean much more limited indoor business.

I do not even listen to our governor any more. It is pretty obvious there is not much anyone can do at this point. If their measures worked, the numbers would be much better. I will be careful, but there is work to be done.

Will no changes looming on the horizon in Hoosierdom that I know of. We are not experiencing any of the panic or gloom and doom portrayed in the national media. Most people have done a good job of obeying the state and city executive orders wearing the mask and social distancing. The Purdue University students continue to mob the bars on a football home game Saturday starting at 6am, but they do seem to understand they are far more likely to die from alcohol abuse or auto accidents than from the virus. They continue to drink to intoxication like normal. Life goes on . . . . . . .
I suspect that we will hear very little about the virus from the national media after January 20th, as the president-elect has a plan. . , , , , and the evil orange man has been defeated and the republic saved!!!!! ^_~

Let there be no doubt a shut down is coming, compllete with the CDC saying you need to mask in your own home.
Curfews work well un urban environments where we often see city workers hosing down the plaza and sidewalks with....who know what. And noting good happens after midnight anyway. Everyone should be home in time to watch Jeopardy anyway.
Did you see the Clemson vs Notre Dame game? How was that for an example if Irish social distancing?

Our province had a small outbreak early on but has managed fairly well at keeping it under control. In mid March we have a lockdown: only essential services were open, only 1 family member was to do all the shopping, gloves/masks and hand sanitizers were to be used ( and still are ). We were asked to stay within 1 km radius of our homes when out in public. No gatherings between households. In June the restrictions began to be lifted. Things slowly began to reopen. By July, 3 neighbouring provinces openned up to one another for what we now call the Atlantic bubble. We are able to travel between these provinces without having to quarantine for 14 days upon returning. We were down to 0 cases for a few weeks. We are back up to 20 cases now ( population of just under 1 million ) all related to traveloutside of our bubble and close contact with those cases. We have been advised to add a 3rd layer to our masks for the Winter months since people will be closer contact with one another. We hope to be able to keep it under control.
