Way too much overthinking. When in doubt...just use "OTHER" if you have that choice.

Is that a second storey on it? If so is it a full story or half storey? If it's full then a 2 storey or a storey and a half.

Cottage comes to mind.
Every market is different.
In our mls, I ofter see mis-labeled homes re: style. The sell anyway to the buyer who wants the house no matter what it is called.

Here in Florida, it would be "Cracker" (and it's in our MLS).. looking at the American Field Guide to Amerian Houses (yes, that is a book and I finally found a reason to look something up) itseems to identify the closest with a "front-gabled folk house"...

Ron and Alexandra Seigel are correct, it's a cottage or bungalow.
Possibly farmhouse. It lacks Craftsman features from the outside, so I agree at a glance, it's not a Craftsman.

In your market place is such terminology relevent for a house behind a chain-link fence?
Absent the fence more ehancing description would work well in Florida.

In my area it's a bunalow. Might even be a shotgun if I could see a dead-on picture.
Looks like a dormer BR. Take all the comps from the area (map) & throw them on the table. Find what's close.

If it is a Craftsman, and it sure looks like one, can you put 'other' in the MLS and add Sears/Craftsman in the comments?

In our market I would label a cottage or bungalow. However if it is not an option it would be similar to a shot gun rancher.

In my market, it would be a cottage or a bungalow. When you go to the listing appointment ask the sellers how they classify their home.

OK, so pull out all the homes in the area in that size/age range.
See how many of them are similar to subject.
See how they are style-classified.
Get a Property Profile and see how the assessor shows it, if they do.
The style of the home is probably not going to take center stage in terms of marketing. So it might be whatever you want to call it, within reason. I like bungalow, if that's appropriate in your area.
Craftsman homes are pretty much nonexistent in my area, but across the river in ancient CA, they are. It might be a stretch to call it that although it has a couple of the attributes.
I'd be more concerned with how the dog will be handled during showings. LOL

Here in NH we call it a cape "cape cod" as visitors say When measuring SF, if it is an A shaped roof it is 1.5 stories. a dormer can be 1.75 stories . So 100sf first floor is 1500 df in an A shape or 1750 sf if a full dormer. AND if no finished second level, it is 1000 sf. We do not use the term craftsman. We do use cottage but most often in a recreation, seacoast or lake setting.
