Not really. As long as I have 3, 4 or more closings a month ... every closing is PAYDAY!

Miss it? Not really, have not had that since very early in my career just out of college.
Though I do think about it from time to time, especially when I am paying all these people ahead of paying myself.
Unfortunately, my expenses are far to high to cover them on what anyone would pay me.
Best to stick with earning big checks while I pay out big checks, and make sure that the intake exceeds the outgo.

Steady paychecks are nice. Entrepreneurship is nice too. They both have their pros and cons.

There is no security in that since 2000. In fact, since 2007, my 1099 was much more reliable than most W-2's.

No, never Paul. A lot of employers think they own you and are willing to hand out what they deem you are worth in the form of a check...

I was a paint contractor prior to being a real estate agent. I do not remember the last time I had a regular paycheck. Yes, I would like a little more security!

Paul, That is one of the primary reasons I persist with the dual career life.
But my plant has went to "work from home" for whoever can, and I can for the duration of this virus.

Yes and no. It has been many decades since I worked for a pay cheque. During times like this or when I was hospitalized, it would have been nice. I like the idea of a steady cheque but hate the idea of having to work for someone ;)

The only part I miss about that was how much easier it was to qualify for a loan. But I knew that going in and that's why I did most of my shopping before leaving the corporate world.

That is the only nice thing about working for someone else. Yes, there are pros and cons, as my father always argued about it everyday at lunch. He always said self employed is the way to go, while I said I enjoyed the paycheck every 2 weeks. However, after 18 years, I came over to his side, and while I won't admit it that he was right, he was. It's hard not knowing when your next paycheck is coming, but when it does, it feels so much better. If you want a raise, just work harder

My bi-weekly paycheck days were in healthcare & especially these days, I don't miss that at all!!! There are occasional stretches without closings (i.e. paychecks!) that are a little long for my liking but then there's a run that makes up for it. All about managing your business.

I've recently transitioned from a 15-year federal government career (and active duty military career) recieving a paycheck every two weeks. As of now, I do not miss it because I am fulfilling my passion of helping others to buy or sell their home, am working for myself, and no longer have to deal with a bureaucratic government job. I really enjoy real estate and I believe if I maintain my focus on the path that lies ahead, the security of a paycheck every 2 weeks will become less of a concern.

I haven't enjoyed the security of a paycheck every two weeks since I decided to go into business for myself in 1981. I can see that having a social security check every month is a great relief though!!
