Jeff, If I'm reading that correctly, that just applies to customizing maps and not to blog posts, web pages, etc.

I do make a lot of google maps, hope mine are all up to code.

No surprise to me Jeff Pearl . While they most likely wouldn't like my political opinion it is their site. If they were in my house and started spewing liberal trash I'd throw them out as well.

Without reading all the fine print, it seems all sites have become critical of some writings.

Thanks for this as I do post on Google and was unaware.  I haven't been rejected yet but these restrictions are very restrictive and of course, confusing.  According to their criteria, all of my posts should have been rejected.  I use Canva to create text on a photo, I've used stock photos, and I've had logos on photos.  I'll wait and see what happens but thanks again for the alert.  

Spamers hit 'google posts' pretty hard and this is the result. If you don't post to 'google posts' then don't worry about it.

This appears to apply to Google Maps and Google My Business places/accounts.  This does not appear to apply to blogs, websites, etc.

There has been a lot of concern online over the last couple months about the quality of GMB and Maps listings and their photos.  This looks to be their attempt to address those issues.

Looks like it's only custom maps after reading it and researching a little.  I don't do that.

Yes.  I'm subscribed to a thread in the community help section. Posts with photos were unilaterally being rejected where they had not previously been rejected.  

I am referring to GMB.  

They need to hire 1M more workers to reinforce the new guid lines.
