If your broker is not training, guiding and developing you, that is not a good broker.

It's important; however, it even more important if you are new and your broker is supporting you when you have questions.

If you have a California real estate salesperson license,  it is important.

Even though we own our own businesses, I think it's important to have a relationship based on trust. I want a broker that provides a culture of integrity and challenges me and the agents in the firm to do and be our best.

Very. All payments to me must come through my broker. He is also responsible for my professional actions. I have to do him proud or I could be invited to seek another broker with which to work. He offers training and a place to call my office.

It's important for new agents to have a broker that is a true mentor/coach, will be available for questions you may have (which there will be thousands), show you the ropes and keep you out of trouble.

It's important. I have only worked for 2 Brokers since '04 & I would say the 1st was a good guy but I didn't feel much of a connection on a friendship level. The one I have been with since '08 is my kind of human.

Agents are free to come and go as the work requires liberty & action. Broker support can enhance 

Problems in real estate originate with the broker. Whether its incompetent agents (training), deceptive practices (teams) or defiance of the rules (off-mls sales within the brokerage) it all starts at the head.

Whether you succeed or not is unrelated to the broker. Most brokers accept NO RESPONSIBILITY regarding the agents they oversee. Many do not even write the checks to compensate the agent.(that last remaining duty brokers had) Those that do, may charge the agent for that inconvenience. Training is delegated to an agent who has more time than business.

You and you alone determine what your future holds and you must be ruthless regarding the resources the broker makes available.

This is a business. Treat it like one.

Very. Most agents that stays with my broker, seems to stay forever. I'm I'm on my 5th year now and no plans to switch, at least not for the next 2 years.

It is very important right out of school! 

My relationship is extremely important and it is why I would never leave, they treat me like family!

You better have a good relationship and pick their knowledge and experience all the time.

This may sound strange, but I've not ever met my Broker (or the one prior to that)  I have great support by phone and email but have never had a need to meet. 

He is as anonymous as you; I've never met him.

It doesn't matter how important it is to me...what matters is how important it is to you.

I have been an owner/broker for nearly 25 years.  I have a great relationship with my agents.  

But my former broker was a mentor and friend and I'll always remember him fondly.

I love being the principal broker, growing up in the business i get to do everything and every way i wanted to be treated when i was growing in the business, I treat my people well and need more agents stat, as we grow again
