A geodesic dome Lynnea Miller . There are only two in this city. I had never thought about how difficult it would be to decorate the inside or find furniture for an igloo shaped house.

The RIGHT CHARLOTTE REALTOR!

I've had people leave cats and dogs before but, they weren't on the Contract. Thankfully, they were all adopted and none had to go to the shelter.

As for personal property included in a purchase, I've had cars included on a couple of transactions. I almost had a plane included on one at the lake but, the buyers decided they wanted a different plane!

Oh I love those buyers letting the barn cats retain their home that is awesome!

As for me, boats, jet skis, tractors, we had a riding stable with a fully stocked tack room and walking wheel that conveyed, not really unusual but it does happen.

Two things written into contracts that the seller would not convey were a vintage Volkswagen Bug and the family dog! LOL

Lynnea,

How wonderful!  I am sure the barn cats will be happy to stay and continue taking care of the barn!  I have not been told of anything unusual that was included in a sale.  Congratulations on the sale.  A

Yikes, at least that is cute.

Last weird thing was seller wanted to give buyer his vintage Playboy collection. I thought it was gross.

Two times (2 separate transactions) the slate pool table was NOT going to be moved by the current owner, and was not going to be given away. IN both cases the buyer ponied up the money accepting the idea they just might need to start playing pool.

In the 'unusual' category was the insistence to have the snakes removed from the property. You know the snakes I mean, the black ones that eat the lizards. I'm certain that the new owner accepted the notion that air, sunshine and snakes are part and parcel of leaving the confines of the house.

Nothing odd here outside of requests for furniture and/or fixtures. Since almost all sales here are of apartments not houses- there is a practical limit of the confines of the walls of the apartment.

Koi fish in the fish pond.

Right before closing the biggest fish disappeared...seller said it died...yet the house he bought also had a fish pond... but no fish.

Do I think he stole the fish?  Oh hell yes!

Seller also came back 3 times after closing to take some of the furnishings that he sold with the house, but claimed that he "forgot" to take.  He was not happy when I told the sellers agent that he was no longer allowed to visit the house...seller was a thief...a wealthy thief.

Had some feral cats ruin a deal as the seller called the buyer to ask that they continue to feed them after closing and the buyer walked on the last day of inspection period. Sold the home a few weeks later and no mention of cats from the seller this time.
