I love that they are super excited at the Closing table but, my personal favorite 'high' is visiting them after they've moved and seeing what they've done with their home.

I thoroughly enjoy listening to how much they love their home, their neighbors, their community...it's really that 'rewarding moment' that you know they couldn't be happier with their real estate decision and you got everything right for them.

I don't get my highs in life from real estate. It's rewarding on many levels, but it's not the be-all and end-all of my life. I think I had two highs in my career in real estate... when I passed the state exam 26 years ago and got my license and when I earned my first commission check.

There are lots of moments that qualify as legal highs- finding buyers the right house, getting your buyers offer acccepted or vice versa, closings, getting the short sale approval letter.... & there's an equal if not greater # of lows but we won't mention those.

I'm with Nina Hollander . . .  Real Estate is not my life and my highs come from elsewhere.  I initially thought when I read this question, that maybe I've been doing this for too long, lol  But then I remembered, I never really was as invested as others seem to me.  It is more than a job of course, but I don't get any thrills from it either.
