There are hundred of CRM apps, and they all have different functionalities for different tasks and many by industry.

I use Boomtown, which I use for my IDX, it's wonderful to have the CRM and my IDX site that allows consumer set up searcches in one.  I know what homes they are looking at and it works great for me and the ROI has been fantastic.

I don't find a CRM to benefit my business model, therefore I just use a spreadsheet to track past clients.  I had tested out several of the free ones like Insight.ly, Hubspot and Bitrix24 (the last two being real estate focused).  While the free level (on the last two) was more than sufficient for most basic needs, they really need lots of advertisements to funnel contacts (aka "leads") into the system so it can drip mail them until they opt out or turn into a client.

I use a custom one connected to Website/IDX and with communication automation (SMS/Email), tasks, etc.

I would say, the need for a CRM has to do with the number of leads you get and the type.

If you get a couple leads per week, you probably don't need a very sophisticated system. If you get several per day, you do need a good CRM.

when I was active, I never used one.... did not have time to keep in touch with past clients.... when you do the job well, and you brand properly and stay visible, you WILL  be remembered.....

that's how I worked.... my focus was listing new subdivisions.... I had too many built in listing to worry about future potential sales.... missed very few!!!

I use Jungo, the mortgage CRM from Salesforce, and it is an integral part of my business.  They have a real estate version but my understanding is that the real estate platform is not as great quite yet.

I currently use IXACT and am very happy with it.

My company is developing a robust new system that will 'partner' with my websites, my transactions and my marketing sites so that I can easily interact with those in my CRM - and they are 'automatically' added to my system. We should have it by OCT and I cannot WAIT!

I use both iHouseWeb and Market Leader. I prefer Market Leader for the CRM. What I don't like about Market Leader is their website display for communities on mobile devices, iHouseWeb has nailed that aspect of what a great website should do. However iHouseWeb's CRM is clunky and quite honestly I've never mastered it.

Top Producer.  When I first started using a data base it was about the only real estate CRM available.

CRM are the classic shiny thing. $30 a month and there are 100's if not thousands to choose from.

Having personally tested and executed a validation plan for over a dozen CRM, let me assure you, most agents don't know what they are buying. Some CRMs are simply TOO DANGEROUS TO USE.

The right CRM for an agent is one that helps their business be properly positioned for 2025. Most CRM keep an agent in the same situation that agents have been in for the past 30 years. Birthdays, newletters and 77 year drip campaigns. For this I use WiseAgent. I especially like the 'check list' feature AND the ability to search the content of notes. Newsletter available in two langues, very well written and fully editable in WORD. And of course all the data fields for contacts all the way down to the rediculous pet birthday.

However, the agent who understands today's and future marketing challenges will find the traditional CRMs, from Top Producer all the way down to Realty Juggler to be inadequate.

NEVER EVER use the CRM provided by the broker or franchise.

The agent intending to be in business in 2025 should consider Sugar CRM, Hobspot or Sales Force.  These are not shiny things.

I would not want to tell you! Why? We have researched a number of CRM systems. We have used more than one...more than two...more than...well, you get the idea. None has been up to doing the job.

Meanwhile, when we move from one to another the pain of exporting and importing data is not fun.

The search goes on.

Jim West this question has been asked many times and you may benefit from reviewing just the 12 times it's been asked this month BUT I don't mind repeating that Microsoft Outlook has more features then you and I could possibly use in our life time. Check it out and pick the features that work best for you.

ZipperAgent hey I am Director of Marketing, what did you expect me to say.

I am one of the founders of the company. When I was an active real estate agent I could not find one that did all the things I wanted a CRM to do.  Integrate with my MLS, have a top-notch website, help me with marketing, have an integrated transaction management platform, do social media posts on my behalf, send out a monthly newsletter that was appropriate for my clients, and more.

I couldn't build one myself so a colleague of mine and I partnered with a developer with experience in CRM's and ZipperAgent was born.  Check it out:  https://www.zipperagent.com/blog/
